DDE & Split Check ?

Have a question regarding the DDE card and split checks. I will be visiting WDW with my parents and daughter in November and have a question about the DDE card. My parents always charge their meals on their room card and I always pay cash. When we eat at a restaurant and have a split check would my DDE card apply to my parents' check, or should we order on one check and settle later? If it only applies to one check, would my parents be able to charge it on their card, or does it have to be paid for by the DDE cardholder?

Many of the restaurants will ask for your id along with your DDE card..you could try and use your parents room card, but you will definately have to have one check.

We just came back and used our DDE card. We had three families, Mine, my Sisters and my Inlaws.

We had to have one check for each table in order to use the DDE card. It worked out fine, I paid the bill and then when we got back to the hotel, everyone gave me cash and I paid the bill the next day.

Just be sure all your parties know to bring cash for their meals. My DSis had to go to the MAC machine to get more money.

Didn't think DDE required cash to pay the restaurant bill???
