I have noticed quite a bit of reference to a "DDE Savings" on some of the discussion boards. Could someone please tell me what this is and how to go about getting one? Thanks for your help :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

If you are a Annual Passholder or Florida resident you can purchase a Disney Dining Experience card for $50. The card is good for 1 year. When you make a food purchase at WDW you will get 20% off. This applies to almost all the sit down restaurants and resort eateries. It is also good at some Downtown Disney places. If you go into the Disney site you will be able to pull off a list of all the places that are covered. It is also good for character meals. The card covers up to 10 dining guests in your party. Believe me it is worth it.

They raised the prices at the start of 2006. I think it went up $10 since last year so it is now $60 for AP holders and $85 for FL residents (not sure about that - I'm not a FL resident so didn't pay close attention to the price info).

They also charge extra now for a second card. Last year you could get a second card for your spouse/SO for free but they now charge $25 for that additional card.

You get 20% off alcoholic beverages as well as your food so it's still a great deal even at $60, if you eat at table service restaurants a lot.

Thanks for the information Carol. Do you if there is any such offer for non-residents? :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Yes, if you have an annual pass you can purchase a card no matter where you reside. We live in Canada and I wouldn't be without it.

This last trip we stayed three days at POFQ and the food court there is included in the list where you get 20% off since there isn't a sit down restaurant. We aren't residents but do have an AP. This year we will have gone 3 times and we have usually 3-5 people with us. The savings has been spectacular. I have more than gotten the $50 I paid for it back. Although we did get the second card, we have never used it. My DH and I are always together. I have to renew in March and at $60 it is a bargain.
