Forgive me if this should be common knowledge, but I'm pretty rusty at Disney planning (haven't been in 7 years) and while reading several posts I noticed people mentioning their DDE Discounts for restaurants. What is this? Can anyone get them?? thanks!

You must either be an AP holder, and/or a Florida resident, to get the DDE (Disney Dining Experience) card. For Florida residents, it costs $75 for a year-long membership. For AP holders, it's $50.

The card will get you 20% off of your dining bill (including alcoholic beverages) at the majority of the table service restaurants around the World (in the parks, and at the resorts). At those resorts without a sit-down restaurant (mainly the Values), it also gets you 20% off of the food court.

There are some other perks (free valet parking when there for dining, discounts on some of the entertainment spots on the Boardwalk, etc.), but I can't remember them all.

The DDE is great - we more than recouped the $50 we spent on it during our April trip - and there are at least 3 more trips to go ;) before my year is up!
