DDE - Counter service or Snack?

Thinking about getting the DDE for our Jan. trip. Does it give any discounts at couter service places in the parks or at the snack carts? I know it can be used at All Stars and POP but was wondering about in the parks.

Right now it can be used at some of the counter service restaurants in the Animal Kingdom because there are no table service restaurants that accept the DDE card. However, now that Tusker House is going to be a sit down that might change. It is not good at any of the snack carts. It is good at the POFQ food court as well

The DDE is going through some changes as of January 1, 2008, mostly having to do with an automatic 18% service change being added to all DDE bills (said service charge is also supposedly going to be added to all WDW dining checks for 6 or more diners). Even with the changes, many still consider it a decent value.

As of now(subject to change, etc.), DDE-cardholders get their 20% discount at the following counter-service places (resorts without full-service restaurants...
All Things POP! (Pop Century Food Court)
Both Port Orleans Food Courts (since PO/FQ doesn't have a Table Service restaurant)
All-Stars...Movies, Sports and Music

It is not accepted at any counter-service places in the parks. It used to be accepted in Animal Kingdom at Tusker House, but not since the advent of The Yak and the Yeti and the pending changeover of Tusker House to a character buffet.

DDE is currently accepted at counter service only in locations where there is no table service restaurant available.

This is why it's anticipated that Animal Kingdom counter service will not honor DDE as soon as Tusker House and Yak & Yeti, both of which will accept DDE, open as table service locations in the park.

That 18% service charge will NOT be added at counter service locations that accept DDE.

There's only one counter service place on property that charges an automatic gratuity - Pepper Market at CSR - and it does not accept DDE.
