I haven't seen any events in a while...shouldn't it be about time for something?

I honestly don't remember the last time I saw one.. maybe a year ago? I think they stopped it soon after they opened it to all AP holders. :(

didn't they send one out during the Food and Wine Fest at the end of last year?

They did, but all it was was a listing of F+W Events, no special DDE events.

Just got one in the mail today. They are having a Valentine dinner and some luncheons. Also they want e-mail addresses to help keep us informed.

They will email you the event schedule if you ask, instead of waiting for snail mail. The valentines dinner is coming up of course.

They did tell me the next event brochures were going out shortly, this was last week.

They are not consistant with the mailings at all, so I email every once in a while to make sure I am not missing anything, as the events are very nice.

Do you know which address to use to get the list I am in the UK and they never send or email me anything:(

Ooh, I will run out to check the mail after I finish dinner!

Edit: aww, not as exciting as I'd hoped. A Valentine's dinner at CG, a notice about the Jiko lunches with a CM from the AK, and a lunch at FF in March.

They give the address for receiving event listings from them:

wdwdisneydiningexperience@disney.com

I got the Valentine's Day one a few days ago. Not my cup of tea, but it did seem like a decent spread for those who would enjoy it. :)

I got my brochure with V-Day in it too. Not sure what else, nothing that "floated my boat", so I didn't pay much attention.

It has been so worth the price of the DDE this year. I have already saved much more than I paid ($50) for it, and I've only had it since November!

Prime Time Cafe ($22.00)
Contemporary ($25.00)
4 visits to Resorts - Valet parking paid ($7x4=$28)
Princess Storybook Breakfast - $13

plus 5 upcoming charachter meals and dinner at Cape May Cafe!

We got ours yesterday and noticed at the bottom that they want to discontinue sending out the flyers by mail and do it by email instead. They gave an address where to send your information so they can keep in contact with you.

I really wish they would give a little more advanced notice. I would love to go to the Vday dinner and stay the night, although it's kind of hard for hubby to take off work on such short notice. I can't remember if they had a valetine dinner last year? But I am going to go ahead and plan on Vday to be at Disney next year for a DDE dinner!!
I called the DDE number and spoke with a very nice CM, she told me about the vday dinner, the Jiko dinner and the save the date for March. Depending on the menu we may do the Wild lunch! At least that is during the day and on a Saturday.

forever42, can you tell us more about the Jiko lunches with a CM? This sounds like something we would really enjoy.

Thanks,
Melanie

I am not sure of the menu but the Jiko lunch is on 2/25 from 12-2 and is $90 per person. $10 of that goes to the ANimal Conservation Fund.

I didn't get one yet....can you tell me about the V day dinner? Thanks!

This was what was in the email--luckily I still had it! :) It may end up looking like a mess on here since they used a lot of colors/HTML in the email, so I do apologize for that!

Oh, that menu looks so good. Yum. Lucky for those of you whom live close or will already be down there. :sunny:

Haven't gotten the email or mailing but the mailing will probably come later than for you in FL.

I think we are going to do the Jiko lunch and maybe the Flying Fish as well. Those are great since they are on the weekend. I would still love to do the Valentine Dinner.

Was there no DDE events during the Food and Wine Fest last year? I thought there were. We had the girls with us so we didn't do any of the special events at all but this year I would like to try one or two! :)
