DDE card and holiday pricing

Are you still able to use the DDE discount during the "holiday" pricing?

We'll be there in July and am debating on whether or not to get the card. (if it will be worth the $$ or not)

I know it's not valid on the 4th of July, but I just wanted to make sure it would be valid for the days leading up to and after.

We were able to use the DDE card around Thanksgiving and New Years (not on the actual days though, including NYE)

There are black out dates on the card. The following is from Allears.net
Certain restrictions apply during holidays and special events, please check with the restaurant when you make your reservation. Blackout dates include major holidays: Mother's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
