DDE and Fantasmic Package

Just to let everyone know....make sure you ASK if they take the DDE card. I know at a lot of places they don't and maybe you aren't supposed to be able to use the DDE for this, but ask anyway. We didn't think we would be able to, but this week, we ate at H&V with the F! Package and were allowed to use it. Just a heads up to ask...it won't hurt to ask, and you might get to use it!!

Ouch! Guess it depends on the Cast Member you get. DH and I tried to do that last Saturday and were told we couldn't. We ended up having a great dinner at H&V though (at a convenient time) and we easily got great seats at Fantasmic on our own. So it always works out!

We did the FDP on 6/5 at H & V...when it came time for the CM to give us the bill, DH, not knowing any of the terms of the DDE card, just put the letter in with the room card and when it came back it was adjusted to the 20% savings. After realizing what he did, I told him technically the FDP wasn't to be included. Using the DDE card, he still tips based upon the bill prior to the discount so our server wasn't slighted at all. He just sheepishly grinned and said to me, "Guess the Disney magic is working today."

So, it was not expected that we would get the DDE discount, but we happily accepted in when it was given. We in no way intentionally tried to sneak in a discount...DH just was clueless since I am the one who always makes the arrangements for our trips...he likes the "no worry" mode for vacation.


As for the seats...they were decent! Just glad I didn't have to wait in that long line with the rest of the park guests for Fantasmic.
