DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Morning folks.
Crappy sleep last night/this morning. At least the back is on the mend and it's not bothering me too much.
Back to work this morning, so far no COVID cases in our building.

Today's Revenge of the Fifth.
:thumbsup2
D@mmit! That's where my old age-itis is coming from! *pulls out can of disinfectant spray and sprays the computer*
:lmao:
Oh, it's fair game if you're going to be in the bathroom on the phone!
Yep.
Rule 1. Get off the phone.
Rule 2. Shut up.
Rule 3. I said, Get off the phone!
My son's birthday was yesterday. He's heard May the 4th be with you sooooo many times, he is immune to it.
Happy belated birthday to the boy.
Kinda like me with "What's up Doc?" It's kinda funny...some folks seem to think they're the ONLY person who ever thought of that.
I refrained. Figured it was about like asking a tall person if they played basketball.
Way more pepperoni than you see there. It was made in layers. The first layer was entirely (completely covered in) pepperoni. The ones on top were what was left after making that layer. It was half a package of pepperoni (my son's had the other half), about 2/3 lb ground beef, 1/2 pound sausage and 1/4 pound bacon. Trust me...it was DEFINITELY meat lovers.
Holy crap!
DW has to go to the school today, first day she's really gone in since she left for our cruise at the end of February. Today and tomorrow, parents or students are coming in to collect belongings from lockers. I'm wondering how much complaining she'll hear.
That should make for an interesting day. I presume all the students have staggered entry times.

Yeah, but it's one of those things that's fun to say. Right, Doc? :rotfl2: Sorry, couldn't resist. Don't worry, I'll show myself out now.

Okay @CapeCodTenor so you can see...

First layer

Now that's a pepperoni pizza! Mmmmm

Hate nights like that.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Happy Revenge of the Fith! Today's top WDW list is .........................

Top 3 attractions that you do not like

For the record on resort pools
  1. Beach Club - Sand bottom, good slide, pool bar, lazy river, 'nough said
  2. Wilderness Lodge - two different pools, lake view, great theming
  3. AKL - two different pools, Jambo great pool bar and food, great theming

Morning gents.
After a very painful day of hobbling around mixed with hot baths and lying down, my back is a bit better today than yesterday.
I hate back pain. I may be the only one who thinks that way, though.

:rolleyes1
Hope the back recovers quickly
Morning all. Another cool and cloudy one for us, seems like the nice day Sunday was just a a tease.

DW has to go to the school today, first day she's really gone in since she left for our cruise at the end of February. Today and tomorrow, parents or students are coming in to collect belongings from lockers. I'm wondering how much complaining she'll hear.

Have a good one all.
Tell the missus to be safe and to wear PPE including possibly ear plugs.

Top 3 attractions that you do not like
IASW That.... song...
Primeval Whirl (Prime evil hurl) I've never been jerked around and hurt more than this ride.
Tomorrowland Speedway. Time for an upgrade. Maybe replace it with... anything else.

Hope the back recovers quickly
Getting better, thanks. :)

Okay fine, IASW is definitely top o' the list.

Prim evil hurl (Okay fine, primeval whirl)
Alien swirling saucers.

As I was thinking about this, I was thinking there's nothing at EPCOT I dislike...aside from frozen, because it can hurt my back when it slams into the "go forward again part" I don't dislike the ride per se, just don't like my back hurting. Now, if you'd talked about the pavilions I don't like, I'd have to say other than VOL, US sucks.

Too funny...we both posted almost the same thing at almost the same time.
Tomorrowland speedway is one I like, simply because it's one of the originals still left. I like it also for the small kids getting their first chance to drive...they love it. Sure, as an adult, it's meh, but the nostalgia and fun for kids it what makes it for me.

I get that and hesitated... but it's attractions that I don't like, so... I don't like that one.
Do I want it to go away? Nope.
2. Hall of Presdents (actually never been in this one)
Ah Ha!
I was wondering if this would show up, but... more importantly, you say you've never seen it. I suggest you do. Even as a Canadian, I found it interesting. Do it often? Nope! But once in a blue moon? Sure.

We were going to do it once when my FIL was with us. He needed a nap but it was closed.

IASW DisneyWorld... I love this ride when I am live streaming and pretending that the dolls are Chucky and Annabelle dolls... other than that I don't like it.

IASW Disneyland... I love it. The outside facade is beautiful and finding all the Disney characters hidden in the ride is a lot of fun.

Hey Mike, you should do a top five of best places to nap in the World.
Even thought I like it, if I need a nap, CoP is good.
HoP is good.
CBJ is good
DVC lounge
Resort room
Monorail - just stay on it however long you need. ;)
Nomad's lounge. As long as you buy some things, they'll let you sit as long as you want.
Rafiki's planet watch. Couple places out there to sit and snooze
Every man's dream...film

I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones I could think of readily.

Do you hear crickets?

Sadly, no. That would be preferable to the speaker droning on and on...

Is it the same person who enjoys root canals?

Does that person exist?

Top 3 attractions that you do not like

Only 3? :rolleyes1

1. It's a Small World (naturally)
2. Journey Into Imagination (still ironically the least imaginative ride at WDW)
3. Country Bear Jamboree

Honorable mention to the Tomorrowland Speedway.

3. Tom Sawyer Island

I actually really enjoy Tom Sawyer's Island.
