DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Evening chaps from a relatively warm Biltmore Estate. This is a bit fancy.
Rental car shenanigans this morning, I don’t think I’m on the managers Xmas card list, after I asked her when she pulled up in a Jeep GC that she could give me her car and walk back while she thought about what a crap service she was running, and when they finally brought round a “full size suv” I asked if it come in men’s sizes. Got a discount though. Just ate DS’s body weight in some fine BBQ, so all is good. Have a good er, Good Friday. Y’all.

I would be a little more vocal. Glad you found your personal pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. (I know, Irish)

Happy Wednesday. Started the day with a fresh Krispy Kreme. Life is good.

 Ron. Glad to hear you still have your notebook. I'm thinking it's like the playbook in the Waterboy? :lmao:

Enjoy Shulas. Best steak I've ever had. Wish i could join you, but wouldn't want to fight the crowds.
:lmao:

Yes Norm we are in total agreement here :thumbsup2 Shula's is way above any steak at any other restaurant in Dis , from the piping hot fresh baked bread, the meat presentation and the fresh baked desserts that have to be ordered right off the bat since they make them while you are eating. All the sides are ala cart , the roasted corn is the best, But if you have to go dollar for dollar between Le Cellier and Shula's in the end Shula's is the best deal, but they do not take the dining plan:worship: so it is way less crowded. Average dinner is about 2 hrs, but it is 100% cooked to order:yay:

As far as the crowds you should know by now, they make me laugh:rotfl2: they are soooooo predictible :cool1:

My newest chapter in the notebook is side orders at quick serves ,. most only look at the main items ,if everyone checked out the side items at all the quick serves and snacks around the parks you will find a ton of interesting items:cool2:

Well, in superb KY politics yesterday, the 291 page re-written dead pension Bill was added to a sewer Bill and passed the legislature on party lines. All interviewed admitted they had not had time to read it, other than the six in committee who drafted it. 30 counties of teachers called in sick today, which will close school or have a day of babysitting. But, there are 120 counties, so that's not a large enough protest. Hmmm....next week is Spring Break here. Any guess why it passed?

I've long since accepted that cheaters do win and that people will intentionally do evil towards each other, but struggle with people stupid enough to vote against their own interests.

I'd be lookin' to whomp sombudy's rump for that one.
(there are some gags that one just ought not do.)

.

Sounds like sleepy stats is literally going to lay the smack down on that idiot's candy a$$.

That bites. It has always boggled my mind that in your system you can just tack things on that have nothing to do with the Bill that is being voted on.

Is Good Friday not a holiday in Kentucky?

Morning, folks.

Ouch. Sorry, dude.

I've long since accepted that cheaters do win and that people will intentionally do evil towards each other, but struggle with people stupid enough to vote against their own interests.

No, unless it happens to be the first Friday in April, which is Spring Break.

Some drafts have surfaced and some comments. From what I am seeing, it looks like they will honor current system and create new system for future employees, which would seem the most reasonable. However, there is still no plan for funding either one. The whole reason given for the legislation was to fix the old system, and the reason it needed to be fixed was that it had not been funded for years past. So, it will just have to be fixed again?

Yep...
It's that last bit that's had me scratching my head for about a half century now.
Sorry to hear that they've done that to y'all.
Sorrier still that I'm not surprised in the least.

Well, just back a few minutes ago from seeing Ready Player One.
And... I really enjoyed it! Typical Spielberg with the special effects being over the top amazing.
Pretty good story line too, although it felt a little rushed in the middle. But only a little.
