DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
How many bedrooms do you think we could get? Or will we all need to put up a camper on the front lawn?

Somehow, I'm guessing the homeowner association requirements at Golden Oak will not permit a camper to be parked in the front yard, even if it was Disney themed.

Understood.

Morning all. Returning to my normal commentary on chauffeuring children, my quest for more bourbon, and searching for the life of CJ - none of which will be impacted by the election results.

Not to get political or go into specifics but the life of CJ will be radically impacted by this election.

TBT time

Picture of my FIL who went from I don't understand why you guys keep going back to I guess I should see all the Parks now that I visited one.

Great pic. Got to love it when you bring someone into the light.

Especially when someone is outside emptying the crapper because it is full.

Morning gents. Heard on the news that two good buddies are going to be meeting up today. I think it's in someone's white house? Did I hear that right? Dunno what all the fuss is about. I went to a friend's place just the other day!

Cut the grass today, hopefully for the last time. I'll still have to mulch up the leaves, but that won't be too bad.

l.

Feel free to post specifics if you want. Either way, sorry to hear it.

This one is a paltry $2.35m. Who's in?

Why not get a few? :lmao:

See if you can find a cheaper one and let's re-visit this.

My retirement dreams, only in front of CJ's house, and that would be sand instead of snow. :lmao:

Always good to get things back to normal. We must remember, there will always be bourbon...or rum...or your drink of choice.

Kids are coming home tomorrow to accomplish the following, though after the fact celebrate DDs birthday, DD can work a 12 hour Saturday shift at the assisted living place, DS can get a home cooked pasta meal, DS can help me with getting the gutter lights hung up (note, don't turn on til after Thanksgiving) and me and DS can watch a Hawks game together instead of texting during a game.
Sounds good. Good that you wait until after US thanksgiving to turn on the lights, it seems a fairly appropriate time there. It seems some people up here would like to have Christmas stuff up after Canadian Thanksgiving (in October). I'll be put on decorating duty once I return home from work overseas on Dec 5, so at least it's in the same month as Christmas.
It would be fun to see the Hawks, or any NHL game. I've never been to one. The closest I've seen is AHL games. We have the Montreal Canadiens farm team here now, but they're leaving after this year, so probably no pro hockey for a while locally. I'll have to catch a game when I get home. We had the Toronto Maple Leafs farm team here in the 90's and Winnipeg Jets for 4 years 2010-2014.

I noticed something about that on FB. I hope everything works out for you.

You beat me to it! Love that movie.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Been a long doggone week around here with budget redos - just tell me what you want the number to be. Looking forward to the kids being home and working on the Christmas decorating as it will be a nice distraction from a crazy week. May even take in a cousin Eddie movie this weekend too. Enjoy the kids weekend activities and try to relax with a nice bourbon at some point - cheers gents!

Unfortunately not going to the Hawks game live tonight, just looking forward to be in the same room to watch a game together for first time this season. We have gotten up to Chicago about once a year for past several for a guys weekend to take in games live - nothing like the United Center for a Hockey game. Would love to get to Toronto to see a game and the HOF. You need to take a road trip to your favorite team and take in a game. Take the wife as a get away weekend, that just happens to include an NHL game.

Happy Veteran's Day to all those who served or had family members to serve.

.

Funny how that happens. Now, if everyone would relax and remember that.

Assuming your wife likes hockey. We did go to a MLB game as a family at the Reds. We all enjoyed it. Me for the game and oldest dd for the food. :lmao:

Well Hello Fellas!!

Been a long time since my last post but thought I would pop in and say Hey!

Actually in the world right now and having a blast.
I will try and post some pics if i can.

Have a magical day!

 Nick. Been a long time. Good to see you these parts. How have things been? Unless you're to busy having fun now, and in that case, post when you get back home.

I saw the Canucks in about 2010? Was that the year of the Olympics? Got into a drinking game with the guys sitting next to us. Very messy. The sea to sky highway seemed a lot more dangerous on the way back, being chauffered by the saintly Mrs. Londontime.

In my job, its normally 20% less than it needs to be. And make it fit.

That would be great.

Oh.
And that's it. Week over. Everyone out.

I've been to the Hall of Fame in Toronto, unfortunately it was in the summer so no hockey game. The closest I got was a Blue Jays game, which was still pretty good. I do like the idea of a weekend getaway.

Yep, the Vancouver Olympics were 2010. Sounds like an interesting game, and interesting ride back.

I grew up on the AHL, there was a team in Moncton for quite a few years. Started out as a shared team between the Hawks and Leafs, they won the Calder Cup one of those years. My mother worked in the front off and I worked in concessions while going to high school. One of the goalies, Warren Skorodenski, stayed around over Christmas one year instead of going home so he spent the day at our places on Christmas Day; that was pretty cool. After that the team was the farm club for the Oilers and then the Flames.

I've been to Montreal to see a couple of games and have a ticket for a Senators game in January. I also visited the HHOF last March when we were in TO to see the Raptors play.
