Happy Saturday all.
Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend.
Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend.
Drinks - gonna need plenty! I will likely partake of Makers one day, dirty martini one day and a port wine one day mixed in with some suds. I like the port with a cigar.
Only credit I can take is the Shop Disney Parks APP. We got one for DD when she graduated thus DS had to have one too.
Happy Saturday everyone. A bit overcast and rainy this morning but I will cope. To my northern brethren, please keep me apprised of the penguin advance. Stocking up on sardines now. And bread and milk.
Happy Saturday all.
Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend.
A bit overcast here this morning. It's rained for the past few days, but not yet today.
If the lawn dries up a bit, I foresee the mower coming out of hibernation today.
That's for sure! I hate that we don't have anything planned before the October trip. There are far too many people going to Disney... AND I'M NOT ONE OF THEM!!!
Home from tennis with another win. That's 4 straight matches and I sure am tired. I can use a day at the office to rest.
This was a construction zone when we were there last year too! Looks really nice.
This is what I had the only time I ate there. Definitely a great choice!
That's the place Pat finds herself this weekend. She has worked some crazy hours lately and when she got in last night she stuck to her plan to turn off her work phone. Typically, she gets calls every time she tries to take some quiet time off and relax.Yesterday was day one of regular days off.
Told work not to call me because I was way too busy at home to come in.
Now I'm beat... and they called me for this morning.
Heigh ho, heigh ho... oh..... poop.
Yes, we are seeing the same thing where I work too!Oh, man. If that isn't the motto every-freaking-where nowadays.
Congrats to your son! Sounds like he is really coming along and should go far if he keeps working hard!Well, for those following, they added an extra baseball game for the JV team on Tuesday. DS won't be playing as he got the call up to varsity that we had been hoping for so will play the last game there and then stay on the roster for the state tournament. He was told to get his bull pen work in because he is expected to pitch when needed and maybe even be the closer for states. He has worked really hard this year and deserves it. He was also told that he will be one of the 3 top pitchers next season on varsity if he keeps up the efforts and continues to improve.
Oh man.....it is getting close! I hope the time passes faster than I know it will feel like it is!FRIDAY! 3 day weekend and then only 2 more days in this lately hell hole and then WDW.
Amen to that!
I'm "running" in the 10k and hope to be able to at least make a meet or two!January, marathon weekend. Where else could the DDCC be other than Disney World. If you want to meet a bunch of great guys in one place, that's the where and when (or at least that's what they tell me, this is my first one). Oh, and CJ will be there too.![]()
What time did you said that would be ready again Mark???Hoping to break out the smoker and have some brisket this weekend!![]()
Wishing all the DIS Dad's a great Memorial Day Weekend too!Happy Saturday all.

Enjoy cutting the grass or icicles. Just have the penguins cut them as they advance in their army formation.![]()

We ate at the Cheesecake Factory
It was one of those comical moments where no one can hear anything anymore, and they would ask and answer such questions with what they clearly thought they were hearing.
In the car ride home, I would occasionally answer, "the zoo is closed" or "I want to try the fish tacos". I know I probably shouldn't laugh, but it was a way to cope with the situation.
That day is getting closer where I'll have to coordinate long term care for them as well as funeral planning.
Happy Sunday guys,
Let the que'ing commence. Back membrane off the ribs and about to get the dry rub. In addition to the ribs, we have a portobello mushroom for the veg head, pasta salad, garlic sautéed asparagus, and assorted roasted vegetables. For dessert grilled pineapple with choice of ice cream.
Sounds good, we have Buca being catered due to number of guests plus it's 90 in the shade today and would be torched if having to cook over grill for this many folk. EnjoyHappy Sunday guys,

Do we queue outside the house or in the back yard cj? Sounds delicious.Let the que'ing commence. Back membrane off the ribs and about to get the dry rub. And that's why you enjoy it. It's just one of those little things that brings a smile to your face before the inevitable.

Well, "run" is a relative term. If you can walk fairly fast, you can probably stay below the 16min/mile pace Disney uses. As long as you aren't worried about your actual pace and final time to complete, you get the medal either way. I can walk a 5k fairly comfortably between a 14 and 15 minute pace. If you add in some interval jogs along the way, you can knock that down to around a 13 minute pace so you can probably participate in a Disney Run event and get that medal.Thanks. I'm hoping to be able to run a 5K or longer race one day and complete a Disney run event. One day. It may be the same day pigs fly or I won the lotto, but some day.
Thanks! Really appreciate it!Good luck to you.
You're right, those do look drop dead perfect! The ribs came out drop dead perfect. Fall off the bone and still moist. Tried a new rub and it has a bit of a kick to it so I may add a little more brown sugar. Also tried a mustard based sauce I picked up in Georgia on a couple of them. Interesting but I think it would be better on chicken. Still a few left for dinner tomorrow.
About an hour into the three hour process. Failed to get a final pic, too ready to dig in.

They look awesome. The queuing though? We need to talk about ADR's or FP for your house. Or I would be willing to pay for Club level. It depends. If the house was in Anaheim, the queue would be outside while in Orlando, it would be in air conditioning. Not sure if the house was in Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong or soon to be Shanghai though
Looks fantastic! The weather here (up and over, for most of you) has been too inconsistent so far. Warm for a couple days and cold the next. Spring in the Canadian north east. Well, there's really no spring. It just goes from late winter to early summer sometime in June. The ribs came out drop dead perfect. Fall off the bone and still moist.
