Regardless of how this movie is received by fans / critics and no matter how much it makes at the box office, I think it will be impossible to live up to the hype and expectations. And remember, with each new Monday, we are brought closer to our next Disney trip be it planned or unplanned.

I'm cautously optimistic about the movie. But I usually give it a couple of weeks for the crowds to die down before I venture out to the theater.

We'd normally consider a 5-0 record for Carolina to nothing more than a clerical error, but...
I've been assured that they've actually won those games. Odd...
The NFC must be in a terrible state in general.

Father bragging time so indulge me or ignore. The Pirate Princess was nominated for something called the Leadership Fellows Program. It is a select group of Seniors (20 or so) that participate in seminars throughout the rest of the year. Here is the letter she received. Really proud of the kid.

"Congratulations on your nomination to the Seton Hall Leadership Fellows Program. You were nominated by your Dean as an outstanding student leader at Seton Hall University. Through a collaboration of a group of Faculty and administrators representing the various schools throughout campus, a new leadership experience was developed last year that is being offered to select students once again, for the 2015 – 2016 academic year . In recognition ofyour accomplishments, contributions and involvement in your school’s and the University’s various academic, social and servant leadership activities, you have been nominated to participate in this prestigious opportunity.

The purpose of the Seton Hall Leadership Fellows Program is to “prepare Seton Hall Senior leaders for a highly successful transition in the next steps of their professional and personal career journey.” The Program consists of five sessions during the Fall and Spring semesters. Through a combination of exciting, learning-filled dialogues and interactions with prominent guest speakers, facilitated activities and reflections on these experiences, participants will broaden and deepen their understanding of leadership and its application in realizing a highly successful career. These sessions will also provide participants an opportunity to broaden their network through interaction with other elite Leadership Fellows within the Seton Hall community.

The sessions are scheduled to meet on Tuesdays from 6 - 7:30 PM in the Faculty Lounge in the University Center on the following dates:..."

Happy Monday. It's in the high 60s, and we are going to try tennis one more time tonite. On the other news front, oldest dd tried diving on the HS swim team. She hit a back dive just right & absolutely loved it. She is now one of four divers on the team. She still has to learn the 11 dives, but she has a few years and not much competition. I guess that PADI certification is the next hurdle.

Good to teach them the process. I take mine to the voting booth and they get stickers. I don't have any confidence in the process anymore - just a bunch of liars making promises they never intend to even try.

Happy Tuesday. Managed to survive another night of tennis. It was cool outside, but I somehow managed to fire up my plantar fasciitis. I'm going to the doc for a shot, and if this doesn't work, then i gotta go to the specialist.

I've been dealing with almost constant plantar fasciitis for the last 3 months, first time it has ever been this bad. I've always been able to get over it by rolling my foot over a ball or something but that hasn't worked this time. I've done lots of stretching, some massage, chiro and use some Kine Tape when playing soccer. They all seem to help some but I've never heard of getting a shot.

Thanks guys. We had a nice chat last night and are both pretty happy with her getting recognized. They have a diner after the completion of the program at the end of the year. They make a big deal about it. It is May 2nd and graduation is May 16th. Don't know if it would be possible for me to go to both. Maybe a kickstarter campaign.

I agree with you Mark, time is speeding by. I still remember going to her High School Orientation and the Principal said to enjoy it because it is going to go quickly. That seems like yesterday and now she is a few months from graduating from college. The good thing is only one payment to go!

I don't know what she was expecting.

Mine had the same experience when she had to vote absentee in her first election. She did take a picture of the completed ballot, so I guess it resonated somewhere.

I am a political junkie and had the Global News network streaming while watching the game. Interesting stuff and a the result was a bit shocking. Not many people think so, but I love this stuff. Did the same for the last couple of UK elections.
