On the up side, my manager showed up so I don’t have to seek that pardon.
The down side… I was forbidden from taking the time.

Pup is going in for surgery this morning. Decided to have them cut out the cancer on her lip and see what happens after that. Her face is going to be quite different though.

Prayers for the pup.
I’ve done similar things to give animals a good chance.

Packed away all of the Christmas decorations at home this past weekend (had to take advantage of the upper 40's weather when we had it to take down all of the outside stuff) and just packed up all of my office decor. Now it's just boring and sad and grey until spring.

We put our stuff out rather late in the season, so we also leave it up a little longer then some.
First weekend after New Year and it all comes down. Then it will be just as grey for us.

Good Afternoon Men! Just doing my daily check in. Heading out soon to see DS play hoop. He has been sick with a cold and plans to give it a go. I told DW to provide plenty of Pharmaceuticals prior to getting on the bus.

....I forgot to mention. There is a pretty good chance that we will be submitting an offer on a DVC resale contract for Saratoga Springs tonight. Not sure if they'll accept or not, but the fact that I could have permission in general is a huge step. I'll keep everyone updated as things happen. Still looking at some others as well.

It would allow us to have at least a trip every two years, maybe annually if we plan it right. Best thing is that it could have enough points that we would be able to use it in August 2015, making it more likely we would take a trip.

And may the offer be accepted.
I hope someday to join all y’all in the ranks of DVC, but for now I’ll live vicariously through the rest of ya’.

I think our only shot at DVC is to inherit DW's parents contract.

With the $$ spent on the house this fall, the planned $$ to be spent moving forward and everything else, financial aid and tuition loans for college are already pretty much a given. I would have time to replace the money we spend prior to DS graduating high school.

I'll let you know if we pull the trigger. This has been the closest we've ever been to buying so it's kind of exciting around the house.

I am lucky that I can pretty much take time off whenever as long as everything is done or in good order. All I do is send an email that I plan to be out. There was only once in the last few years I even got a response and it was "OK".

Morning guys. Slow week at the office so I'm working from home. Looks like Captain Comeback is heading back to Michigan. Those rivalry games with Ohio St. will be interesting!

I heard he was going in around $5 Million per year to have enough money for his assistant coaches. Looks like I still have a chance.

Should be enough for 1 bedroom every other year, maybe annually depending on the # of days and time of year. If this one doesn't work out, we'll keep looking and try find another one. At least getting permission is a good first step.

We got the portfolio and booklet mailed to us when they started selling BLT, as DW made inquiries, and we debated for a few weeks but was gun shy, I really didn't see us making that kind of financial commitment. We can always dream though.

Pittsburgh is all riled up with the vile rat birds coming to town this week. Ironically no one is actually talking about Baltimore. The fan base is only concerned about Le'Veon Bell's knee. I have not seen an injury watched this closely ever in my life.

DW works this weekend so I had to pass on tickets. I've seen plenty of playoff games including 3 or 4 AFC Championships, so I'm not losing sleep over this one.

Should be enough for 1 bedroom every other year, maybe annually depending on the # of days and time of year. If this one doesn't work out, we'll keep looking and try find another one. At least getting permission is a good first step.

We have that same dilemma - a 1 BR every other year or a studio every year. So far, the studio stays have won out. I really like the space of the 1 BR, but more trips is better. I also have two dds, which makes that sleeping arrangement easier.

Got to see a regular season Phins/Jets game once.
In the Orange Bowl… In 1971… Haven’t seen one since.
Been in the Carolinas since 76 so there was no one playing anywhere near us until the Panthers started stinking things up in 95. Even then the price of a parking and a couple tickets was more than two weeks’ worth of groceries and a monthly car payment combined. It’s only gone up from there so it’s still utterly out of the question.

I’ve only been in our own stadium once. Volunteered to work one of the concession stands while they hosted a college game one Saturday. Never saw one play. My only actual memory of that “event” was being cussed and threatened by a drunken college kid who resented that onions for his hot dog would cost extra.
