DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Howdy dads, nothing to say just wanted to get in on the new thread.
Kinda like someone else I know.

Not sure why my names not on mine, well if anyone cares lol Moose615 = Philip

Good morning gentlemen,

DW had a big number birthday last night. I pulled out all the stops. Lobster tails, bacon wrapped scallops, bacon wrapped filets, brussle sprouts with bacon crumbles (caramelized in the bacon grease), and faux twice baked potato. I also got her a set of pearls with matching earrings. Plus the new Subaru we ordered in October came this weekend.

Thanks Brian, that is the way I think I will have to go.

I do not add anything personal to page one unless I am asked to do so. I will add your name.

‘Morning all…
This just in: The NFC South is hopeless.
Just though y’all would like to know.

Thanks for doing this for us Rob!
Thanks Rob!

You’re welcome gents.

I am having trouble with the list of members post. It is getting to large to load easily now. Does anyone know how to break up a list post into two post on this forum?

Yep… the “List” attribute won’t work if you break it up into pieces.
But Brian fixed it so just copy his posts back onto Page 1 and keep up with the numbering manually.

Never mind... I see you've already worked it out

:lmao: That’s about the best use of that meme I’ve run across.

David....you're late. Please check-in. Thank you.

Seriously!
It’s dang near 9am already. Very un-duck like.

Wow, well done.

I would be remiss if I didn't point out the lack of bacon on the baked potato. :lmao:

Wow, we need to make sure our better halves don't get to know you - jewelry and a car :scared1:

Not as hopeless as the Bears. What a train wreck they are. Between them and the Titans it is a good thing I love hockey.

Good Tuesday morning ownage. Younger dd has school performance today. They put the same show on in 4th & 5th grade, so I will have seen the same show now 4 years in a row (counting older dd shows). But, this will be the last one.

Proving once again that we all likes us some numbers and that everything is a competition
(and most of those competitions are pointless at that)...

Here's the stats from DDC-XXXIII

Thanks for the stats, Stats.

Kind of like Jamies Winston. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What?!? Your giving up on the Sanchize already? He hasn't even butt fumbled yet. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
!

He made the Cowboys look good. Enough said.

Randall doesn't like you. :lmao: Really, just send him a PM. :

Sounds good except that brussel sprout thing. I don't think there is a way to make those taste good.

Jewelry and a vehicle… quite the BD there.
Of course, now you've set a standard that will need to be repeated.

One question: what makes a potato “faux”

Not as hopeless as the Bears. What a train wreck they are. Between them and the Titans it is a good thing I love hockey.

I don’t know…
Their record is similar to the “second place” NFC South Panthers.
The entire division is below 500 :sad2:

Because, that’s what we do…
But a little bit of variety would be nice.

Try eating bacon while looking at a picture of brussel sprouts.
That might do the trick.

There's bacon in there. A pound of bacon got used last night.

The car was ordered back a few months ago. It just happened to come this week. Good thing too. Last night a cold front blew through and yesterday's rain turned to ice and snow overnight.

The Bears give me hope that the Vikings won't be at the bottom of the division again for several years.

I told you on Facebook, just caramelize them in the bacon grease and throw some bacon bits on top.

Use cauliflower instead of potato. Chop the cauliflower up and boil it for about 7 minutes. Then blanch in and mix with a cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 3/4 cup of sour cream, and a handful of bacon and chives. Then bake at 425 for 25 minutes. Finally top with more bacon, cheese and chives. The picture is above.

Fixed it for you Corey! :thumbsup2

Hi Guys!
I know, it has been a while again. I guess this is my annual update. I retired in January and we spent the winter in Pensacola, FL, at Perdido Key. We also managed our first Disney trip with grandkids in March, staying at ASMu for 3 nights and visiting the AK with our DD, her husband and 2 of our grandkids! This past summer, we purchased a snowbird condo in Cape Canaveral, FL, just a mile from the Port and a mile from the DISboards.com Welcome Center! So, if anyone is thinking of stopping by the Welcome Center, let me know and we might be able to schedule a DIS Dads meet and greet! We do go up to the Port to watch the cruise ships leave at times so we do see the Magic and Dream heading out to sea.
My DW is doing much better here in the warmer weather of the Space Coast and she is now trying to cut down on some of her meds!
We should be here until sometime in May.
:thumbsup2

Wow! I must say how impressed I am by how far and how much this group has grown. I remember responding to the first thread thinking this was a really cool idea this was. I never imagined that it would continue and grow like it has. While I have never been a major participant, I tried to keep up with things for the first few years. Over time, life and other activities have pulled me away from the disboards, but every time I have returned, I have always been surprised with the growth and camaraderie that this group has displayed.
