Morning all...
All quite down this way still (unlike the doings up in Annapolis... dang sad, that).
We're sheltering in place to avoid the heat, so I don't expect much will be going on for the next few days.
Charlotte Symphony doing their Summer Pops tour.
Free concert in in the park with an emphasis on patriotic themes for the upcoming holidays.
Rather light fair musically; salute to all the military branches, lot of Sousa, some medleys from Broadway, a realy nice John Williams piece, and the score from the classic documentary: "Victory at Sea" .
Nice venue, decent temp once the sun got low, various food-trucks on hand for dinner options, all in all a good evening out.
I do like a spot of Blue Grass here and there, but I'm a rock-n-roll guitar man by upbringing and trade. I also did time in the school music programs (and my young'en is finishing up a music degree) so I've a soft spot for Classical, Big-Band Jazz and Drum Corps/Marching Band productions as well. There are a few but not many types of music that will force me into changing a radio station fairly quick (Disco and Hip Hop would top that list).
Rest... heal up...
Her B/D, her choice, all's good.

Happy B/D to the young'en, and I think that's a great gift idea.Today is my youngest 14th birthday. I had bought pickleball paddles for the family, but as a gift for her since tennis courts fill up in the winter, but we could still play pickleball.
That idea, however, probably not so much (but it's hard to say no to your kids).dd wants to play 30 minutes of tennis. I say sure.
Rest... heal up...
Classy...Birthday dinner at Dairy Queen.
