Morning guys, Happy Saturday. Preparing for my own version of the British Invasion on Tuesday. The Brit is visiting and bringing two of his sons and his daughter-in-law for a nine day stay. Plans are to drive to visit friends in Tampa and snorkel with Manatees. After that we head to Key Largo for a few days of diving. And eating. And drinking. Man those Brits can drink.

Good Saturday morning to all!

I recently set the DCL Shipboard Announcement Chime as my text tone notification. (https://soundcloud.com/user31242497/shipboard-announcement-disney-cruise-line)
The good news is every time I get a text message, I get 3 1/2 seconds of Disney bliss. The bad news is I then listen for a British cruise director's voice to start saying "Good morning ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls..." but it never comes.

That has been my alarm clock tone for the past several years. Nice way to wake up but I agree, it really needs to be followed by the Cruise Director telling me all about the fun things that we're going to do today.

An update...pathology showed malignancy and the CT scan showed a spot on my liver. They aren't sure about the liver spot, might just be fat spot, but they moved the surgery back to the 26th so the liver specialist can take a look at it while they have me open. They will also take out the right third of my colon which is more than I was expecting.

Sorry that you are going through this. Prayers for a smooth surgery and a very quick recovery.

Good day at the Gym. The team went 2-0 for 1st place in our pool. Slow start in the first game as it has been awhile since these guys have played as group (most playing at the schools for the last month). We were 10 points down at the half but won by 9. In the second game we never trailed in a 15 point win, even overcame the fire alarm going off as we were about to start the 4th quarter. We only had 8 guys today and they all contributed throughout both games.

Semi-finals at 9 am against our cross-town rival.

Three of us now on antibiotics as oldest dd tested positive for strep. But, it was still a nice, relaxing day at home. I filed my taxes - owe fed, refund state - and get back around $150. Stupid government.

Tax question, doesn't that mean you have to send a cheque to the Feds and will receive one from the State?

Yup. The state refund will may get in by the end of February, and I don't pay Federal until April. I just wish taxes were based on actual government performance. It wouldn't be as bad to pay them then.

Different system here. When we do our taxes we calculate both federal and provincial and we figure out if we owe or get a refund. Either way, we pay or get money from the feds and they look after the rest.

Just got back from our games today. We lost 66-63 in the semi the morning in one of the worst reff'ed games I have seen in a while. Each team had two guys foul out, including DS. We won the 3rd place game 50-44 in a game that was really ugly, there wasn't much enthusiasm for the game at all.

Sorry for the delay fellas. A week at BWV took its toll on me! Had a great time though.. Skewers at Ohana, Dole whips in Adventureland, Crab legs at Cape May, a Kitchen Sink! I did more than just eat but that's all that really matters right? Of course not.. Getting my sons first pair of ears and wearing them on Dumbo is what matters. Anyway, it was a hell of a week. Somebody mentioned free golf? Hit me up and I'll see what I can do.

Turned an offsite day trip during our spring break beach vacation into a two park day overnight stay at POR. Super excited.....fast passes, annual passes, and magic bands customized!
