DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Hello gents, I'm still alive, just another busy couple weeks with work and personal life. Looks like I've missed about 10 pages of intellectual and stimulating banter that I likely won't have time to get through. I hope you are all well.

If anyone remembers, oldest DD is the female lead in her high school's production of "Footloose". They performed 4 shows over the past weekend - we went to opening and closing night. I have to say she did a fantastic job and I was a bit proud of her. This was the one where the lead actor broke his leg a week before the show in February, so they postponed until now. He was pretty amazing too, considering he performed a show about dancing while on crutches.
I don't think I can post a video directly here, but I'm tagged in a video on FB for those who are on that.
Below is a picture of us after the opening show. You'll notice the 80's appropriate hair, make up, and prom dress!

Who is that ugly guy next to the pretty girl?
Oh hi Jeff.
:lmao:

Well, in superb KY politics yesterday, the 291 page re-written dead pension Bill was added to a sewer Bill and passed the legislature on party lines. All interviewed admitted they had not had time to read it, other than the six in committee who drafted it. 30 counties of teachers called in sick today, which will close school or have a day of babysitting. But, there are 120 counties, so that's not a large enough protest. Hmmm....next week is Spring Break here. Any guess why it passed?

I've long since accepted that cheaters do win and that people will intentionally do evil towards each other, but struggle with people stupid enough to vote against their own interests.
Sorry seems so lacking, but sorry Norm. :sad2:

Just out of curiosity... is it Easter today?
Nope...
It's Monday. Break's over; back on your heads.

(Of course it may have been when you actually asked the question, but I wasn't reading then and I'm a smarta$$, so there ya' go)

'Morning all...
Do hope that all had a fine weekend and that the various holidays treated each of you well.
Lord knows I had entirely too much very good food, so it was fairly normal for us as holidays go.

/
Spending an unproductive day watching a Star Wars marathon on TNT.
Did a bit of that myself in between company and dinner.
Good for y'all.
We got rid of all but basic cable a little while back though, so TNT is one of the channels I no longer have access to.
(and one of the few that I somewhat actually miss just a smidgen)

That also means that I couldn't watch any of the games Saturday, buy I'll get over that as well.

Enjoy your day at work.
Sorry, but I'm one of the nine in ten folks on this rock for whom that sentence is nothing more than random incomprehensible gibberish.

Dang it! Geez, dude. Harsh!
Sorry 'bout that chief...
5am wake-up call for me this week so I'm generally starting "the day" off in a right foul mood.

Hey! It's a Stat holiday here too! Which means... yeah... I'm working. Get paid extra, though. So that's nice.
Glad some one gets proper O/T
I was granted the privilege of having to work part of the yesterday.
The only compensation I'll get for that is precisely the same that I receive for any and all required work done off the clock...

Zip.

Dealing with a personnel issue at work. It's making me want to do more vacation research. Nobody is happy at the moment, so I must be doing something right.

Mark's pissing all the employees off...he must've been promoted to management.

Nope...

I think I liked you better when you weren't around here. :lmao:

I went back to work, but no standing on heads for me....If I have blood rushing to my head, it might improve my 30 IQ and I can't have that.

Morning all. Surprisingly, DW changed and ADR and we made FP+. Changed Jiko to Yachtsman's Steakhouse to avoid the bus ride and time.

Evening boys, from the rooftop bar of our hotel in Charleston, with a glass of Norm’s family’s secret recipe and a beer watching the final. Happy days. Enjoy the game.

I wish i got the royalties from Basil Hayden bourbon. I would have flown over on my private jet and watched it with you.

'Morning all...
Hope all are at least well if not reasonably happy.

I would say that you are not reasonably happy.
Finding one's self having to deal with other folks lives is rarely a joyful experience.

You ain't the first person to wish my demise.
Not even close.

Heck, at least two of the voices in my head tell me I'm valueless multiple times daily.

Ehhh... Give it a shot.
If nothing else it'll give you a different perspective.

Actually...
That "Back on your heads" crack is just the punch line from a rather old joke that gets used frequently throughout my family.

Well, that certainly beats my two pair...

So who won it?
(I don't have access to the network that had the exclusive rights to the game and I was up way too early this morning to listen to the news coverage)

Avoiding buses is generally a good plan.
Either of those would be excellent, but I'd likely choose the steak as well unless we happened to be near Jiko at the time.

I wish i got the royalties from Basil Hayden bourbon.
I wish you did too...
Then I'd be looking to park my "Retirement RV" in your front yard.

Morning folks.

Heck, at least two of the voices in my head tell me I'm valueless multiple times daily.

Yeah, well here's a voice telling you that those two voices are full of crap.

::yes:: Assuming it's the same joke that I've known forever.

The machine that is Villanova. I thought the final 4 games were better
