DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
I may not be an 'old timer' like those low-numbered members, but I made it back for posting three days in a row! I am liking this new interface.

I wish we would get some snow here. My Sunday is supposed to be sunny with a high in the mid-70's. Ugh. That is not winter to me. Give snow!

Not really liking how the term, Old Timers, is getting thrown around...

We've got about 20 inches on the ground right now....not as bad as you Boston Dads....but enough! Rumor is we're supposed to either get more snow on Sunday or rain depending on what the storm track is. I would hate to see what rain would do with all the snow in gutters around here.
'They' are saying a few inches Saturday, quite a bit Sunday, & get ready for a substantial accumulation Monday into Tuesday here. Fun times!

I just noticed that our profile on the left no longer displays where we are located. I don't always remember where all the dads are located and that always helped. Fortunately, your username reminded me where you are!

Afternoon fellas. Trying to stop by this place more often to make sure I'm up-to-date on all the latest gossip.

I just noticed that our profile on the left no longer displays where we are located. I don't always remember where all the dads are located and that always helped. Fortunately, your username reminded me where you are!

Most days I don't know where I am, much less where I'm from.

Posted this in the Club yesterday but though I would add it here as well. It is pretty awesome to watch.

That's completly nutty.
I'd hate to be standing anywhere near the tracks when a train comes barreling through in those conditions.

I take it that you didn't start out in Texas then.

I like seeing only a smidgen of snow each season.
I also like that (if it sticks at all) it's generally gone within a day.

Ehhhhh... embrace it.
Actually the way the term is getting thrown around in here would make Don older then you...

Funny stuff.

but then again...
Had the Doc listened to his boy in that instance, his evil plans might have actually worked.

Didn't notice that until now.
Too bad. That little bit of info was helpful in understanding folks points of view at times.

You're here...
You're form there.

They'll about cover it.
Either way, keep on dropping by.

I'll trade ya!! We did make it all the way up to 13 degrees today. :thumbsup2

Murphy moved to KY. I'm sick, heater out in vehicle, and it is cold.

On the good news, DW said that she is willing to move to Florida. Anyone hiring? Then again, there's always CJ's front yard...... :lmao:

You've got cheap housing and you can always raid his fridge. Who needs to work????

Just be careful when the pirate princess is home. You don't want to accidentally get some of that vegetarian fake meat stuff.

Yes, that would be a mooching occupational hazard. If I did get that tofourkey and got sick, would I file a claim under CJ's homeowner's insurance or worker's comp? :lmao:

Time for an experiment. It says in the help section on BB code, that there is now a "Spoiler" tag available when writing up a post.

Lets see if this works...

I do believe that was a successful test.

Sorry to hear about Murph there Norm, to a speedy recovery. Disney is always hiring just not sure it covers the costs of a family.

I recently set the DCL Shipboard Announcement Chime as my text tone notification. (https://soundcloud.com/user31242497/shipboard-announcement-disney-cruise-line)
The good news is every time I get a text message, I get 3 1/2 seconds of Disney bliss. The bad news is I then listen for a British cruise director's voice to start saying "Good morning ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls..." but it never comes.

An update...pathology showed malignancy and the CT scan showed a spot on my liver. They aren't sure about the liver spot, might just be fat spot, but they moved the surgery back to the 26th so the liver specialist can take a look at it while they have me open. They will also take out the right third of my colon which is more than I was expecting.

I'm sure that's not the news you wanted. Prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Damn Cancer.

Very sorry to hear this.
May the liver spot turn out to be minor, you don't need that complication things.
Prayers for you sir and also for the doctors that they do their best work.

Maybe we could just add our location ourselves. All for it?

I did start out in Texas, but I spent 3 years stationed in upstate NY with lake effect snow. That was cool. But I do admit that it got kind of old after the 5th straight month of snow every year.
