Hope everyone had a good weekend. Happy Monday and MLK Day. At work, but REALLY tired after getting home around 1:30AM this morning. Patriots game was a lot of fun. Pretty much went as expected. The best part is my seats are covered so was warm and dry throughout. Went with DS to the game, I really enjoy all the great games we have been able to see over the years. He'll be 15 in March, has been spoiled with championships by all teams and has really grown into a great kid. I know....must take after his mother.
DD's team won by 12 over the weekend. She hurt her finger and it is swollen and black and blue from the tip all the way to her hand. She sat the whole second half was it was really sore. DS's team crushed both teams they played this weekend and his team is now 8-0 on the season. My 7th grade team was down 12 in the first half. We only allowed 8 points in the second half to pull out a 3 point victory. A great weekend of sports in our house!
Saw something interesting on Diners, Drive ins and Dives last night. Bacon donuts. A vanilla glazed donut (glazed on both sides) with one side dipped in crunchy bacon bits. I understand the American Heart association is applying to the Geneva Convention folks to have it banned.
They have those at Honeydew Donuts around here! Shared one with DD a few weeks back. It was REALLY good!
Booked a flight to Orlando for Father's Day Weekend (also the last week of Star War Weekends), Did this last year, I will be the 1st to tell you it sure beats having a BBQ where you end up grilling and doing a bunch of party preparing on a day that was meant to honor you
Beats any BBQ I have had. Spending Fathers Day in WDW would be awesome. Have fun.

It was a fun weekend. The last 5 minutes of the Seahawks game made up for the ugly 55 minutes leading up to it. I actually feel a little sorry for GB, they deserved to win.

As I had posted on FB, My FIL has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given 4-6 months left. DW is naturally torn up over this. We are in town working on the slow process of getting things in order. He is resigned to his fate for the most part. For my part I'm just trying to be DWs rock.
Another downer is that this throws all plans into disarray with a real good chance the August trip won't happen now as our funds are needed to deal with anything which shamefully has me feeling pretty low. Waiting another year seems intolerable, which makes me feel crappy since I know others wait longer. Going to keep thinking up a plan but not sure yet what to do.
Oh yeah caught whatever stomach bug DW had last weekend. Fun fun fun lol
1) Prayers being sent for FIL and your family. Not sure of the specific situation, but DW cousin was given 3 months due to cancer 10 years ago. Aggressive treatment and he is cancer free now. Stay positive and fell fee to lean on us if you need support.
2) Bummer about the trip. I hope it all works out and you get to go.
