DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Morning Guys.

Last day of March Break here in the East. We had a fun trip to Toronto, had dinner with Brian B and his family at a place called the Pickle Barrel, took in a Raptors game, toured the Hockey Hall of Fame and took a ride up the CN Tower. Made it home Friday evening with no problems and have had a quiet weekend so far. DS is attending a shooting clinic this afternoon that is run by one of the Orlando Magic shooting coaches. Hope it helps him get to the next level.

Have a good one!

Sounds like you had a pretty durned good time!

Happy daylight savings time Sunday.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Let the weekend and March Madness begin.

Second best time on the sports calendar (after college football). Are you filling out a bracket?

Cute picture. You can see their personalities even at that age.

Good Saturday everyone!! Been a busy week this week. Have a nice weekend!

You too Zerf.

Saw that and was thinking of you and the PP - congrats!

Listened to the student run radio station after the game and old alums were calling in almost in tears. Nice early graduation present to DD.

Just shoot me.

Nah, we want to keep you around here for a little while longer.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Forgot to give a shout out to the Chatanooga Mocs winning the Southern Confernce and getting an NCAA bid, first in 7 years. Like CJ, gotta like when the college you send lots of money to has success. Oh and this time change stuff is going to require a mid day nap.

Go Mocs! You are right, it is good to see the school you send lots of money to have success. Will be looking to see who Chattanooga is playing in the first round.

Went to bed last night around 1:00 (actually 2:00) and was up at 5:30. I was going to go to Calle Ocho (a big street festival in Little Havana) but am probably going to bag it for a nap.

Hope it helps him get to the next level.

Seton Hall is a great school. Just saying. Followed your posts on the trip and it looked like a good time. You Canadians have all the fun.

Happy Sunday. Went and worked out with DW again this AM. The hot yoga pant girls don't seem to be up at 8:00 AM. :furious:

Seton Hall BIG EAST CHAMPS! Last time they won it was a year before the Pirate Princess was born. She will be buying me some shirts when the bookstore opens on Monday. Great game. Campus is going crazy.

Congrats to them. You should send them some more money. :lmao:

Congrats to your school as well. Hope they don't get beat by UK in the first round.

.

Thanks. We let them pick out their own dresses and hair designs. They had so much fun being a princess and I enjoyed watching them be so happy.

Isn't there some sort of law or something about cruel and unusual punishment?

That is for the fools dumb enough to drink the Beverly.

I should be finishing drywall in our bathroom, so this Sunday is blech. :)

But any day not at work is a day I enjoy. :)

If you are looking to sharpen those dry wall, painting, carpet laying, and floor tiling abilities, feel free to drive on down to my house. I can put you to work. :lmao:

We gutted our extra bathroom and changed the layout. I am cheap(well I like to save to go to Disney, so too cheap to hire someone), so I have been doing all the work. We ripped everything down to the studs, took out the tub and replumed and rewired the whole bathroom.

Just finished up moving the sink, putting in a second sink, pulling out the tub/shower and making it just a shower. Oh, and moved the Toilet.

So now, just have to finish the drywall, just taping and mudding and then I turn it over to the wife to paint it.

The put in the last of the fixtures and new flooring and done.

It has taken me almost 3 years, so I am glad we have 2 other bathrooms. :)

Happy Sunday everyone! Sad day yesterday - put the covers on the snowmobiles (not in shed yet) and put the ice fishing gear away. But wasn't complaining about the 68 and :sunny:. Trees and shrubs all budding. Sedum and Lilly's coming up. - too early!

Happy Sunday. Went and worked out with DW again this AM. The hot yoga pant girls don't seem to be up at 8:00 AM.
-Go weekdays :rolleyes1

I went yesterday and today. Usually go Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Hope all are enjoying the weekend. We took care of ordering new patio furniture this weekend and at midnight sent in all our requests to DCL for dining rotation and shore excursions. We are changing the patio from the typical dining table and chairs to a sitting area with couch, gliders, ottoman fire pit table arrangement. DW is making traditional St Pats corn beef dinner for today so all in all not a bad weekend. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and all the best to the families.
Morning all. Quiet AM as oldest dd is out of the house. :lmao:

Cute pic, couple of hams like their dad and thank the maker they got their cuteness from mom. DD was too old by the time this was offered and we just bought the Belle dress on year and kind of did our own thing. Looking forward to spoiling grand daughters with this some day.

Sounds like a great time especially the hockey hall of fame part, need to get their some day.

Gonna do the dads one on yahoo you gave us. I used to run the office one for years but the buerocrats thought someone at my level shouldn't be organizing gambling that's against policy. I still run it as well as helping with things like the super bowl square pool so the team members have "air cover"
Late Morning guys! I like Sundays. Do you like Sundays?
Absolutely, though what follows Sunday is a bit annoying

That's cause those who look hot in yoga pants likely didn't get in until that time in the morning.

Yeah, Chat will be a 13 or 14 seed and need a huge upset just to win one game but that's why they call it madness.

The sun came outside and it was absolutely wonderful. Played tennis this afternoon and am extra tired and sore now.

We gutted our extra bathroom and changed the layout. I am cheap(well I like to save to go to Disney, so too cheap to hire someone), so I have been doing all the work. We ripped everything down to the studs, took out the tub and replumed and rewired the whole bathroom.

Well, you are certainly talented but really slow. You'll need to work a lot harder and faster if you are going to fix my bathroom for free. :lmao:

Yes, it was a beautiful day. More beautiful Tuesday and Thursday morning, you say? :rolleyes1

Yes, they are full of personality. I remember when I thought it was a good idea when we taught them how to speak. Now, I'm not so sure.

On that matter, with your DCL knowledge, is it better to eat the first seating or second seating? I doubt we will get to a cruise in the next 10 years, but I'll out in on file for later.

A very early Monday morning. Yay??? Well, it is national pie day today. I prefer the dessert pie than the mathematical one. Think I am going to hit the Publix bakery today for a Dutch Apple.

FYI on dads with monetary investments in schools in the tourney...

Chattanooga plays Indiana Thursday in Des Moines, IA

Seton Hall goes against Gonzaga Friday in Denver, CO

If you are interested, the Dis Dad pool is on Yahoo NCAA Tourney page

Joined the pool, and I am sure my picks will rock the sporting community. And by rock, I mean rock bottom. :)

Good Monday morning Dads. Here's a little chuckle I came across. Hope your week starts OK. And happy Pi day (or pie day, whichever you prefer :))

'Morning all...
The time shift always make me feel like I've been beaten. Uogh...
Well, at least I'll get use to it in about five or six months.

Seems to me that pretty much no one is "good" at picking this one.
I should probably go over there and put in a bracket myself. Who knows, I might not come in last.
