Morning all. Some really bad news - other than budget cuts - is that both my children told me they would rather go to the beach than WDW this year since they go to WDW all the time. I disowned and ex-communicated both of them.

We'll still go to WDW in April, but the beach in October. I'm still going to try and sneak in a MNSSHP in October if possible.

The sun came out and the temp is in the 70's. So.... Key Largo calls. Came down for lunch. Was going to send a pic of the Tiki bar but couldn't upload it from the phone.

Evening gentlemen. Not a good one though I am still on the green side of the sod. Water has been off since before dawn and our wonderful water department doesn't even know what the problem is or where it may be located. There is snow to melt, but it won't provide enough volume to flush a live chicken should the need arise. On top of that our new governor just laid out his budget plans which include implementing a 4.5% budget cut between now and the end of the fiscal year in June, followed by a 9% cut for the next two years. Oh goody.

Saw that too. The obvious solution is to cut all the layers of management and useless meetings, but that won't happen. I should be high up enough of both the performance and seniority list, however, I don't trust them. This may speed up my plans to move to CJ's front yard in the camper.

No water yet. Snow is melting off the roads and told SWMBO and the kids to head to OH but she has a cold and isn't up for the drive. What's the point in having a place to escape to if you don't go.

If ya disown them you don't have to worry about the beach? I would think that the way you take days off from parks to enjoy the resorts and pools that would help fend some of this off. I used a Typhoon Lagoon day during trips for DW as it is basically like hanging at a beach for the day only with cool slides.

Ah yes, the joys of Canadian air travel, particularly east coast travel. I know it all too well...

I could have taken the direct flight that would have had me here at 9 am but then I would have had to try to convince the hotel to give me my room so I could hang out until my 1 pm meeting.

NORM !!!! Sorry to hear this bad news. I just don't know what to say. Disown them asap before they start looking for college money. I would plead your case to the kids mother. Ask her for your help. If all else fails, go without them!!! That's what we do now and wouldn't have it any other way!!! It's great !!!! You go once without them and they will never have those thoughts again.

Hope the water gets back flowing soon. I keep a case of water in the garage just in case.

Yeah, I've thought of that. We have Holiday World/ Splashin Safari about 30 minutes away which rivals WDW water parks. I suggested moving over to BLT and they could hang on the fake beach there. Or, even at the BWV, walk over to the fake beach in front of Beach Club.

Top O the Mornin Dads! Event of the day is our dog is having surgery to remove bladder stones. DW is a wreck as Holly is 11.5 years old and she is worried that the pooch won't get through it. Holly is first and only family pet so everyone is a bit on edge today.
