Must've been both a relief and exciting for him to get back in the game.
Too bad about the goal being called back, though.

It was great to see him on the pitch again. He played about 3/4 of the game so he was a bit tired and slept most of the drive home.

DS played his first game post injury last night. He managed to score a goal only to have it called back on account of him being offside. He doesn't usually play in an attacking position so I guess he got lost. All in all it was a good win for the Boys.

Glad that he's back in action though.

Surprise was 50/50... DD lost it (in a good way), DS was expecting the surprise to be super-hero powers once he saw the magic band box, so a trip to WDW was a let down in comparison...

Where can I order a box of those super powers?

Speaking of left handers, DS played his first game post injury last night. He managed to score a goal only to have it called back on account of him being offside. He doesn't usually play in an attacking position so I guess he got lost. All in all it was a good win for the Boys.

My youngest dd had first Middle School game. Their team was smoked. But, she was tired at the end and slept well last night.

Yes, just started. Tryouts were in June or July, and team was training in July. Not sure I understand it, but I think it is because of field limitations. The County school system cannot practice on the County Park fields, only the County school fields. And, with both boys & girls teams games and practices and football practices, those have to be spread out over the year.

You gotta be careful there Normie.. you know its a little known fact that putting false information on a school form is a felony. just like lying to your postal carrier.

High school football here starts the Friday before the first day of classes. They have been in two-a-days since the first of August (I do not miss that part) and classes start the 24th.

I just realized I should probably update my signature. I don't think I am ever going to actually finish that 2013 trip report. I will just leave it as is and let everyone think we were only there for 2 days.

High school football here starts the Friday before the first day of classes. They have been in two-a-days since the first of August (I do not miss that part) and classes start the 24th.

School here doesn't start until after Labour Day but the fall high school sports practice during August but not middle schools.

Home from tennis. Only third time this week, but I am tired. Sitting on the couch with ice packs and heating pad.

That's quite the commitment for middle school.

Training and games amount to three days a week. The select program will follow the end of the Middle School season. There are four other players on her select team. It turns out that the team they played yesterday was a JV team, which helps explain it a bit.

Thanks guys. In all fairness, since mine are in Middle School, they catch the bus at the end of the cul de sac and walk up the street to the house. So, no one is required to be there when they exit the bus, they use a silly form for all County schools (K-12), and that no one really ever reads those, I figured that was as good an answer as any. I hope it doesn't go on my permanent record.

Happy early Friday guys. The insomnia is really on a roll lately. Woke up a couple of hours ago but at least I got four hours of sleep last night. Today will be a heavy caffeine day I fear.

Watched the first Dolphin pre-season game last night. The starters looked good on both O and D, the 2's looked OK and the rest of roster sucked big time. Have to check but I think it is 20 days until college football starts.
