For those not on FB, an update on Carl. Heard from Steve yesterday and he is holding his own. The big complaints are not being able to sleep and the food. I can relate on both of those issues. Still has his sense of humor. If I hear anything else, I'll pass it on.

On the home front, the BF just left for the airport. Contrary to rumors, he still has all of his limbs. Good kid but who knows, at least I know I won't have to pay for a wedding in the near future.

Family is all back in KY for another 9 months. So much for peace, quiet, and walking around in my underwear.

That is good news. I guess?

Still trying to figure out how to schedule a last minute Disney trip for October, but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. Since we had the in-laws vacation in June, we thought we would just do a trip to the beach in October, and then back to WDW in Spring Break. I have the Spring Break vacation booked, but was hoping I could sneak in a trip this October as well. But, with the transmission replaced, funds are low. I keep watching for deals, but they all seem to expire in September.

On a lighter note, is anybody else here familiar with the Epic Rap Battles of History on YouTube? It's not really as bad as it sounds; the guy has a really warped sense of humor, great production values, and does a lot of research for his topics. His latest one is Jim Henson vs Stan Lee, and there's a plot twist to this one that any DisDad will appreciate. NSFW, and I definitely wouldn't let the young'uns overhear, but these will definitely have you LOLing if you're not careful.

Having everyone in one spot makes somethings easier, but the laundry and cooking requirements go up substantially. This is the year the kids start doing more though. DS is in 8th grade and DD in 6th so they can do more. For the price of a new multi-meter and a $4 fuse, DD learned how to replace a thermal fuse on a dryer today. Money well spent.

Technically, the plans haven't changed. I just wanted to find the money to change the plans. Can't really complain about hanging on the beach. We are going to Orange Beach this year, which will be the first time there.

Speaking of left handers, DS played his first game post injury last night. He managed to score a goal only to have it called back on account of him being offside. He doesn't usually play in an attacking position so I guess he got lost. All in all it was a good win for the Boys.
