Sounds good. I would pass on the hiking thing but I’m sure there is a sofa somewhere I could plop down on. lol.We are going to Colorado. Its our whole family going, my mom, aunts uncles etc. We usually go to the coast but Mom wanted something different this year, so DD and I are going to go do some hiking instead of surfing.
But you did meet a celebrity today!
And so he did...
Given the context..."folks down south..."
Heck, when I lived even farther North... pretty much everyone was "South".Given the context...
That one made me snicker.
But then. you're right good at that.
You can have some of ours...Hey,hey….. we may finally get some rain around here today. About time.
Usually by this time we get a good shower every afternoon but for a long time we have gotten nothing. We don’t have soil here, we have sand so there is nothing to retain water so what we call grass, relies on a constant watering. With the sun and temps we have been getting with no rain, it dries up pretty quick. One good shower and the what we call grass is green again. It looks dead but the blades just close up. A nice amount of water and it’s green again. We usually are aloud to water anytime but we have been down for well over a year and we were on a two day a week restriction pending on the last digit of your address for what two days you can water. In this heat and sun two days a week are like p ing in the ocean so most people don’t even waste their time, money and water. You can have some of ours...
I don't remember the last time we didn't have rain.
And frankly... I'm getting pretty sick and tired of it.
Really! One good shower and the what we call grass is green again. It looks dead but the blades just close up. A nice amount of water and it’s green again.
Huh. I've heard of water restrictions in some places but not like this. Interesting. We usually are aloud to water anytime but we have been down for well over a year and we were on a two day a week restriction pending on the last digit of your address for what two days you can water.
I will take it, we have been in at least a level 1 drought for 6-7 yearsYou can have some of ours...

Yup, we are at 1 day a week. My day is Tuesday, from 10pm to 5am only.we were on a two day a week restriction pending on the last digit of your address for what two days you can water.
Getting snitched out or random drive buys by the city water department. Then big fines, multiple offences and they can literally turn off your water and just leave it off.How is that enforced??
Yup, here a city worker is a city worker. Water company, HOA and trash company is always driving around. First time you are warned, second time your fined. And chances are you’re going to get caught because you have a nice green yard.Really!
Here, if the grass turns brown... it's probably not gonna come back.

I thought I'd be surprised about being snitched, but... yeah... I've known some of those types of people.Getting snitched out or random drive buys by the city water department. Then big fines, multiple offences and they can literally turn off your water and just leave it off.
D'oh! I guess that would be a bit of a giveaway.Yup, here a city worker is a city worker. Water company, HOA and trash company is always driving around. First time you are warned, second time your fined. And chances are you’re going to get caught because you have a nice green yard.

Lucky I don't have an HOA, but we dont get a warning. $500 first time.Yup, here a city worker is a city worker. Water company, HOA and trash company is always driving around. Thank you!And a happy birthday to Cinderella's Fella!
Yes, I know I'm a day late, but I wasn't on yesterday. So sue me.
Whups! Don't say that to you folks down south... you take that stuff seriously!
Interesting. Usually you can set your watch by the 4:00 p.m. shower in Florida.Hey,hey….. we may finally get some rain around here today. About time.
That sounds terrible. But hey, you don't have to shovel rain. You can have some of ours...
I don't remember the last time we didn't have rain.
And frankly... I'm getting pretty sick and tired of it.
That would be trouble in my area, since I'm too cheap to water my lawn.Really!

I like HOA actually. Keeps the neighbors from having six cars on cinder blocks in the front yard. lol.Exactly
Lucky I don't have an HOA, but we dont get a warning. $500 first time.

We are only at level 2 drought now because we had a "near normal" rainfall this spring.
