DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Evening all.

Had a great time at the Area506Fest last night in Saint John. we managed to see J J Wilde put on an amazing, energetic set to kick off the night. Followed by one the the best live bands out there in my humble opinion, The Trews. The headliner for the night was The Glorious Sons, great band but the show they put on is a lot different than the other two.

Was supposed to go to an annual NB Day weekend party a friend does every year but after 8 straight days of volleyball camp and the festival I'm beat. Glad tomorrow is a holiday here.

Here are a few picture I took last night.

Morning, Fellas! Well, callbacks for The Sound of Music went well on Saturday as the whole family was cast in the show. I got Admiral von Schreiber, a non-singing role, My DW got a nun, she wanted Maria, and my DD got Marta, she wanted Brigitta. So while we all didn't get what we wanted, we are all in the show, together, which is going to be fun. I initially wasn't going to accept the role as it is a non-singing role, I'm a classically trained tenor, but realized that 1) The whole family will be in it and thus would be a wonderful chance for the whole family to "Play" together on stage, 2) It's been years since I've performed, and this is a small role, so a great role for me to get back into performing, 3) I don't have to attend music rehearsals. Yes, I'm a trained singer, but it is nice knowing that I don't have to go to music rehearsal and suffer through non-musicians learning to sing and 4) The theater is less than 5 minutes from the house, so late night rehearsals won't be too bad. So that's it. I'm not off to primary care today. Have a good day, everyone.

Morning, men.
Day one in Yellowknife in the books. Interesting place.

Is this trip for work or pleasure?

Great! Good luck to you all!

:thumbsup2 Thanks.

And sooooo glad it’s over now. I’m pretty confident that I’ve trained more people than anyone else in the building. (A few hundred employees.)

I'm sure you're glad it's over.

Geez. Wash it if it stinks.

Nah, I'll just let it sit and fester.

I have a feeling I’ve been to more States than most Yanks.

You probably have, including me.

Man that sounds great!

This is a great area to see lots of great stuff. You should plan a trip.
