DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Rented a van from Home Depot and brought home DD's birthday gift. Bit extravagant but oh well, 25 is a big one, right? Quarter century and all. Thank goodness I'm not getting older!

I've started to do some part time work at Home Depot in the seasonal department, that's a popular chair.
Not surprised. I went to look and they had 4. Ordered it the next day and it was the last one.

Haven't seen these before. What makes these kind of chairs special?

Who's up for tacos?

I mean, if the choice is between having tacos and NOT having tacos, it seems like a no-brainer.

Morning dads from a chilly(9/48) and rainy Fatherland.

Happy hump day.

I've been learning German with duolingo on my phone, but tonight, the actual class begins.

That's about all I got. Have a good one.

Hey, guys! Been busy lately, but wanted to swing by to say hey. You know, I thought I'd felt a disturbance in the force this past weekend. I then discovered, while scanning the board, that @pkondz had a Saturday off with the rest of us? And @docsoliday1, if I understood you correctly, you got ahold of American bacon. Where'd you get that? Is there an American market near you, or do you have access to an American military base exchange? Either way, good that you got ahold of some. Mmmm bacon.

Mornin' boys.
Happy... oh I give up. Whatever day it is.

Sounds like wearing no underwear and loose shorts. :lmao:

During WWII they had a very effective method.
In the POW camps, the Germans, as punishment for perceived transgressions, would force the prisoners to stand at attention for hours in the sun. They'd force them to act like the famous German cuckoo clocks. The prisoners would be forced to swing their heads back and forth while chanting "Tik... Tok... Tik... Tok..." endlessly, for hours. Eventually the prisoners would become so disoriented and delirious that their heads would bobble on their necks and all they'd manage was a mumbled "Tik!.... tik...... tik!... Tik!.."

At which point, of course, the guard would menacingly approach and say...

"Vee haff vays of making you Tok!"

Quickly rectified the following day.

I found one on youtube, but either my phone was acting up or it was audio only.

German interogating a prisoner keeps saying sign ze papers old man
Man says I cannot sign ze papers
Repeat several times with the interogater getting increasingly upset

Finally he says why can't you sign ze papers

Because you've broken both my hands.
