That is actually partially true.

I had a guy come over to give me a quote on what he'd charge to do my lawn. Neighbor pays $225 a month which isn't bad at all. Figured mine would be slightly more because it's all fenced, which means longer to weed eat. Well, the guy I called was not same guy. Actually, it was somone she found on that evil empire sight.

Anyway, he said he charged 80-90 an hour and it would take 2-3 hours. I can mow entire lawn in 1 hour flat(barring getting stuck and taking forever to get unstuck). Weed eating/edging/blowing maybe another 45 min possibly an hour

I'm thinking for someone who does this for a living...3 hours???? And even the low end $240?

While I didn't say it, I thought of telling him get off my lawn.

I have 2 guys who mow, weed and generally tidy up the back garden (about 150ft long) for 1.5 hours every other week.

25 quid a visit. Sounds like I got a deal there, let's hope they don't stray onto these boards

25 quid(although that's like $100 and 200 CAD) isn't bad. Although I'll confess...my lot is just a tad bigger.

My boss decided to close the company tomorrow so I get a 4 day weekend.

Now that's a management decision I can fully support.

We have a little more than an acre and we pay a family who live down the street in one of the “big” houses, $65 a mow.

But I think I'll be using some of the cash that I haven't spent on landscapers to take a bit of a road trip.
Can't pull of a weekend at Disney like some of y'all, but it should be fun all the same.

Morning guys from a patchy London. relatively chill day today, seeing Lady Ks fam today in her brothers country mansion, so that will be nice, haven't seen them in a year or so. First Biz travel this week since March 2020. Off to Barcelona from early doors Weds until late Friday night. Ribs and Wings tomorrow, so not too shabby for Danny.

The boy is 10 now, so he does it on the other week. When he asks what I'm doing, it's a bit of "earning the money so that you can stand on that patch of grass, sunshine." He normally wanders off slump shouldered mumbling something under his breath. I'm pretty sure it's not "you are totally right Dad, that one's on me."

Yeah, mine gets a tenner.
He also gets money for the Dishwasher emptying (50p a go), and keeping everyone in Beer during parties. He likes that one, he's worked out if he keeps the uncles topped up enough, tips start to flow. One night he walked away with about £50 in his back bin. He has one of those top up cards that run off an app so he can see it earning. I'm a big fan of this.
But money burns a hole in his pocket.
