DIS Dads DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Dads of the DIS talk about life, bacon, Disney, bacon, kids, bacon, cars, bacon, family life, and lots of other fun stuff! And beer. And bacon.
Thinking everything will be alright, bought a tanker trailer full that I’ll park next to the warehouse full of the toilet paper I bought last year...

I’m never sure how a week goes by so fast, but here we are.
Please sign up for Einstein's course on General Relativity.
Good timing since youngest DD has a dance competition this weekend. I’m sure @pkondz and @CapeCodTenor can attest to how busy that gets.
::yes::

:faint:
Pants and nutritious meals are optional!
Always.
Same thing happened here yesterday. Last week it was only ages 70+. Then all of a sudden it opened up to everyone 12+.
Not quite so dramatic here, but... it went from 40 to 35 to 30 to 24 to 18 in the span of about a week.
It was like Oprah giving out cars. You get a vaccine and you get a vaccine!
:lmao:

Congrats!

Thanks

Man. We are really only a couple of steps from total anarchy at any time, aren't we?

Lately that's how it looks, and I'm getting tired of it.

Oh, I'm sure nothing will go wrong between now and then.

Yeah, nothing could go wrong. Nothing.

Well, here's hoping they give you a good answer soon!

Man, I'm hoping for one. Lord knows that after two and a half years of trying for a full-time job, and being denied twice at my last place, I sure could use it.

That sounds good. Much better than "We're gonna have to let you go."

Right?! I was happy to hear it.

Wise move. Retreat today to... well... retreat again another day.

I eventually stuck my head out to find her standing there....so I retreated back to the safety of my blanket fort.

Howdy gents. I’m never sure how a week goes by so fast, but here we are.

And I'm ready for it.

Good timing since youngest DD has a dance competition this weekend. I’m sure @pkondz and @CapeCodTenor can attest to how busy that gets. DD is pretty excited to have competition again after more than a year. It’s a bit different this time of course with some restrictions. Only one parent is allowed to see the show in person. I’ll be the taxi driver for the most part, but the upside is I’ll have the house to myself most of the weekend.

I'm not quite at the stage where I'm shuttling the young dancer around yet, but I can certainly understand.

Pants and nutritious meals are optional!

Aren't they always? Kind think that goes without sayin'.

I saw a few posts a while back about her various “talents”.
How is she at dictation?
Wondering if she’s a cunning linguist

Oh she's very talented. And yes, quite the cunning linguist. :thumbsup2:teeth:

Man. We are really only a couple of steps from total anarchy at any time, aren't we?
Pretty much.
More worrying are the folks that actually are working toward said anarchy.

They did start the pumping systems back up now so hopefully the panic mongers will chill out a bit
I figure Monad or Tuesday and we might be better off, but a smidgen of calm in the mean time would be a mite helpful.

I was able to fill up the wagon, so we should be able to get down to the coast now (if I can keep it parked for a few days that is).[/QUOTE]

Yep. Sounds about right.

This has to be my fave photo so far.

(My fave video is the woman who tried to cut in line, hit another car, and then spat on the driver of the car she hit... and then they got in a fight. Entertaining.)

Morning all from a overcast London. Denmark is on a 2 day bender this week, so me and my boss have taken the opportunity to sample some of the finest ales London has to offer this afternoon. Oh hold on, we've got it in as a Face to Face meeting over layouts. Right. That's what we are doing. Moving on swiftly......

So then there's an outside possibility that we'll be in near the same spot for maybe a day and a half.
Indeed there is. Probably half a day, as we wont get into Orlando till about 6PM. I'm up at about 0430 day 1 though, as I'm jetlagged off my danglies.

Jeez. What an oxygen thief.

Strange. I thought that was what they called marriage guidelines in Alabama.
The good news is the position that was open, and I filled as a temp, is mine.
Good luck. We are all counting on you.
.One more day!
Enjoy buddy, and congrats to the boy.
Now that's a good plan right there - GO CUBS!
There's a day game in there, that could work...
Thinking everything will be alright,
Good news. Enjoy chief. Have a couple for all of us.

May your days be an extra heavy pour of your favourite chosen beverage.

Morning, boys! Finally Friday! I'm off to a busy practice today which will help the make the day go by quickly, that's the theory at least. Outside that, got nothing. Have a good day.

Pretty much.

Which is scary that people would want to do that.

Glad to hear you were able to get your car filled up. Now if everyone can stop panic buying things will get to normal.

Yep. Sounds about right.

:thumbsup2

There's a video out there where a woman is putting gas in a plastic bag. Then double bagging it because it was leaking.

Morning boys.

Close. That’s General Lee Relativity.

That’s good planning. Double bagging is the way to go.
I saw a video last night of a guy filling small Tupperware containers. Of course every time he pulled the trigger on the nozzle, the gas would spray out and up from the containers.

Yeah, I've heard of such things goin' on.
The only thing good in that picture from my point of view, is that at least that one ain't one of our locals. It's quite often that my neighbors are the ones leading the hit parade.

Riiiiight...
Wink, wink,
nudge, nudge,
say no more,
say no more...

Best weekend ever!

Yeah, I know there have been some. But I’ve never seen one during a game I watched. I’d probably turn it off if there was. If I wanted to see a guys pound the carp out if each other, I’d turn on MMA. I don’t for a reason. Just not my thing.

True story: one of my earliest dates with my future wife was a Flyers game. She had never been to a hockey game before. Right about the 3rd period, she leans over and whispers, "I want to see a fight." That's the moment I knew she was the one.

I hope those numbers never get LOST

Well, as the show demonstrated, only good things happen to people who play those numbers.

Given the Wawa location, it appears my region gets to claim this particular credit to society.

Wawa rocks, though. :thumbsup2

Everyone in this country is now dumber for having lived through the last year.

Good call. It's probably tough for a Flyers fan to find a wife.

That's... kinda the best thing I ever read.

Right. That's it. I'm calling it. Work week over. Everyone out. Last one standing in the Rose n Crown after Half n half's, gets to take Mary Poppins home.
And let me tell ya, when she says she needs her chimney sweeping, you don't need to bring no brush.

Have a great weekend chaps.

No brush? What am I supposed to use, then????
