Even though I made it to Friday, my life feels like a country song. My wife left me (to go out of town on a work conference), two vehicles have check engine lights on, and my dad's dying. He's resting peacefully most of the time at home, but still likes talking to people.

In the MCU, there's Peggy Carter, and then there's everyone else. That is all.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I'm not walking away from any of them, but Scarlett Johansson or Zoe Saldana are at the top of my list.

Morning, Gents! Finally Friday, and a long one at that, well, for New England that is. Monday is Patriots Day, a local holiday, and a day off. Usually it's the day the Boston Marathon is run, but I'm honestly not sure what's happening this year...I haven't kept up with it. Well, that's it. Have a good day, guys, and we'll chat later.

I've noticed a lot of things have changed with COVID, and we really don't miss them all that much.

Took Wed off and took my exams. I was already. Certifiable, but now I'm certified Linux admin(LPIC-1). In general, I think certs are useless, because I've known several people who had just about every cert under the sun and I wondered if they could even spell computer. Have a new job offer that requires it, so I spent the insane amount of money to PROVE after 30+ years doing this, yes, I do indeed know it. Beverly money sink.

Took yesterday off to enjoy sun & fun with my brother. It's a very big annual air show in Lakeland, FL. My brother is a pilot and A&P mechanic and works at the airport, so this is a big thing for him. I enjoy it also. Blue Angels flew in yesterday and then did some practice later in the afternoon.

Based on the pink on my face, arms and legs, I think I may have had too much of the sun portion although I had a lot of fun also. Forgot my good camera, so just some pictures/videos on my phone.

Well fellas, hope y'all have a good weekend. I should be turning in my two weeks notice soon, so I'm looking at maybe trying some of the 92West rum I have.

Just looked and sun & fun is largest air show in US and 2nd largest in the world.

Congrats on the certification and the 2 weeks notice. I have to admit it feels good to be wanted at a job.

More to share what we are doing and so people can keep up with what we will be offering at the farmers market. Also just to share our lifestyle and sustainability.

Small family farm. Right now we are focusing vegetables/fruits and eggs. Kind of the focus right now since I work a normal 40 hr a week job.

I think that's terrific. I'm not looking for acreage for a farm. That's way too much work. I want acreage, preferable wooded, for my house to be secluded and to hunt or just shoot whatever walks out and a lake to fish.

Morning chaps from a sunny London. Had a jonesin' for good bagels, so off to the old bakery I went at 7am this morning. Drove past my old house, and a few old East end landmarks. All the shops opened back up this week, so, to pardon the pun we are still going to avoid shops like the plague for a few weeks. Nothing to do with COVID, just hate queuing for anything. Some pulled pork on the smoker tomorrow. Joined the tennis club 2 streets over and sacked off the gym, and saved myself about 700 quid a year, so I'm off for a wander round there later to check it out. It has a little clubhouse with a licensed bar, so that could be a win. You also get a leg up in the draw for Wimbledon tickets.

We would love some land, but you have to move out of London for that, so unlikely to happen. Although we could get twice the house for about 2/3rds of the money. Plus we would spend all our time in the car ferrying the kids everywhere.

I know the old duck decanters go for a pretty penny, but I don't think the Bourbon in the bottle runs to much. Maybe 40$? I'd just break it open and drink it.

Good bagels are not that easy to come by. We have one place in town that makes Montreal style bagels. They boil them in honey water and then back them in a wood fired oven.

I don’t claim NYC and don’t want to give them anything more but it is like unofficial science the water is what makes the dough the best in the world. Pizza and bagel joints around the States import water from Brooklyn for their dough.

Pizza NY is up there with anywhere in the world, Rome and NJ being a notable mentions, I can't say the same for bagels, possibly as the dough structure is different. Maybe I'm shopping in the wrong places. They are really good, but I've had just as good, and better elsewhere.

I have to been NYC once. Saw the 2 things I wanted to see. The 9-11 memorial and the Ghostbusters fire station. No intention or desire to ever go back. When I lived in Denver there was a pizza place and bagel place who imported their water and it was just as good as the pizza and bagels in NYC. I really honestly don’t care I eat about anything from anywhere just stirring the pot around here.

Morning boys from another beautiful but chilly day in London. Ended up playing tennis with the boy yesterday, and we are going back again today. Smoking up some Pulled pork, a couple of cheeky racks and some chicken thighs, so it looks like a BBQ sampler tray is in my near future.

Can't stand fish and chips, so I have zero input on this one. If you want to talk Pie Mash and Liquor, I'm your man. Pretty much every town in the UK has a phenomenal Curry House. You go to different ones depending on what dish you want to order. Our little town in London (about 25000 people) has about 15 curry houses.

So where’s the best?

Don Giovanni's in NY, Pizzarium in Rome, Rosie's in NJ if I had to pick 3 tagged to my original assertion.
As for Bagel's, I'll take my Bagel shop over anywhere, but to be fair they've had 35 years or so to impress me, and I only remember the really good ones and the really bad ones. Yesterday's batch were particularly good. Perfectly chewy with a bit of sweetness on the top.

Sounds very similar to me. I've been to NYC twice and if there's never a third time, I'm more than okay with that.

I've had bagels from NYC and many other places...can't say the NYC ones were noticeably better. Maybe I'm just not a bagel connoisseur. Do like the NYC style pizza crust, but I can't imagine Hudson river water is so great.

Haha. I agree I don’t know what makes it special but my late father in law who was from Brooklyn would get in arguments with people about. I just remember trash everywhere and rats the size of dogs at the subway stations.
