Hey guys, just checking in. Not much new. Enjoying a week off. Heading to the in-laws for Easter weekend.

Is the next program at Dal?

Yes. I’ve seen Dal and it’s a nice area to be in. I wouldn’t mind a few trips to Halifax to visit her.

But it also means that she'll be moving out in the not so distant future and that's... a bit hard to wrap my head around.

Definitely hard to get used to the idea. I have one more year to get used to it.

The money ... I have saved will now go towards Disney.

That sounds like a better idea.

Oh, and again, I wanted to thank everyone for the good thoughts for my DW.

I haven’t been around much to say it before, so let me send my best wishes for her recovery. Hope she’s doing better.

Yup. Me too. She's finished her degree now, and got her contract in the mail yesterday (for September), but will live at home the first year to save up to move out. I'm okay with that, although we will start charging her rent in September. More to encourage her to go than anything.

Evening, Gents! Hope all had a good day, I did. Forgot to mention this morning that it poured rain last night and has been raining/misting all day. It looks like it's going to downpour again, but we'll wait and see. I can't have another night of an 8 year old sleeping in my bed because she's scared. I get that, but daddy needs his sleep.

Rainy day today, river is suppose to hit flood level this weekend. Hopefully it just gets to that level and not the levels it has the last couple of years. We're off to visit my folks for a couple of days, my dad still isn't doing well so he won't travel. Time to go and share a whiskey with him.

Another busy day in the books. No tennis practice due to cold weather. Plus, since Spring Break is next week, I think the coach wanted to call it quits a day earlier.

Hope everyone is doing well. Just enjoying time with the baby she is so darn cute. I have 7 more weeks off and have started leveling a pad for a new playground the boys are getting for their birthdays. I wish I had a flat piece of land on my property would make it a lot easier with my tractor. Learning a lot about excavating.

Had a good day yesterday training in scheduling, something I already knew how to do, but it's a bit more difficult when you have to determine why a patient needs to be seen when there's no reason indicated in their record. Sleuthing 101. I had fun. Outside that, all's well. Have a good day.

Yes, I have to do that quite often, especially ordering am ambulance and providing justifying documentation. It turns out that nurses and social workers in the same department get different versions of Epic. So, I can't find some of the medical info they can, unless I go thru multiple more layers. Grrr...

Finally Friday, Gents! For the first time since starting this job I think I'm ready for a Friday. It hasn't been a bad week, just a week of very busy offices and training, so ready for a couple of days off. I

Yes, I have to do that quite often, especially ordering am ambulance and providing justifying documentation. It turns out that nurses and social workers in the same department get different versions of Epic. So, I can't find some of the medical info they can, unless I go thru multiple more layers. Grrr...

It's quite annoying when that happens and I wish the clinical people would add more information. Now, as someone who schedules/check people in, I have access to the full record, so I can go snooping and find out information. To know that you don't have access to Epic that everyone else does is surprising....especially if you're the one checking people out of the hospital. Maybe there's a reason and I'm not seeing it, but if you need information to check people out then you should have that information.

Well... it's Friday. And that means one thing. After having the last 3 weeks off, it's time to go back to work.
Oddly enough, I'm not really all that thrilled about it.

And, it's Friday. Another busy day. We had another person submit their resignation today. Apparently, there is a lot of turnover and turmoil. I think.thr caseloads and expectations are just too high. With that said, it's still great money full time or PRN. DW keeps talking about a new house though, so maybe I need to keep full time. Looks like there will be openings.

It's quite annoying when that happens and I wish the clinical people would add more information. Welcome to the weekend, Gents! I've got a few things on docket this weekend, cleaning and organizing being one of those things. Cleaning never really leaves that list, does it? I'm off with my DMiL today to look at a truck that use to belong to a friend who passed last year. His sister/niece is selling it and we need a truck for the dump and other pickup-y things. It's not a full-size truck, a small Mazda, actually, but it's perfect for what we need. So we're going to look at it today to see if it's worth buying. Otherwise it's church and Easter dinner with the fam.

Next week I'll be working 4 10 hour days, with Tuesday being my off-day. So I'll be at work by 7 am, totally do able for me. Well, gents, have a good day and we'll chat later.

They need to change how they do things. It's costing them more money to train people than to just change the way they do things.
