The DD is back in school. The school paid for COVID tests for everyone to ensure everyone was healthy, so we had to wait until all the COVID tests were back before going back to in-person learning.

I'm sure you, she... your entire family is relieved at a return to some normalcy. I hope it lasts, for at least a while.

It used to be that I could start typing an emoji... like... :roll... and a little dropdown window would open and you could choose between a few emojis that start with that. But now... you have to either know the exact code or hunt for it in the emoji panel.

For ****'s sake. Ridiculous. An attack on America. My youngest dd was staggering backwards watching the news. She didn't know the 911 attacks. I tried to explain that feeling at the end of Marvel Infinity War is how it felt. This was my concern with all the COVID media fear spreading & lockdowns. A bad formula. At least this attack didn't last like the 3 week CHAZ/ CHOP Seattle hostage ordeal. I've almost finished the bottle of Knob Creek bourbon, so I'm ripped and non compes mentus.

Yup. That's what I was talking about. You have to click on it and hunt now. You can't just start typing the emoji you want and have a drop-down window open anymore.
I hate having to hunt now. I knew if I wanted the "roll eyes" emoji that they all start with : and roll. Then your choice is either rolleyes , rolleyes1 , or rolleyes2 ... and do they end with a colon or not? Back to memorizing them I guess.

Let's hope so. I'm just glad this one didn't continue for weeks and weeks. I'm of the opinion there was cheating in this election, but I think that's also true of past elections. Most of us know it's also true in sports. We may gripe about it, but we aren't taking hostages. I just hope this is the end of it.

Morning, Gents! Been MIA the last couple of days, sorry about that, but it wasn't for anything important, like uber, super secret spy stuff...no, not me. Nope. Nuh uh. Nothing to see here Nah, just honestly didn't do much. Well, today would be my last Friday of not working. Wwweeeee! I officially start on Monday of next week and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm so tired of sitting around the house.

My plan to wear my DW down on a trip to the World is working. I've been watching Disney vlogs on the Tube of You on the TV every couple of days, usually with my DD around so she can see it and ask questions, and we now talk about Disney stuff and she doesn't automatically shoot me down. For instance, my DD and I were snuggling on my chair and watching a Disney vlog. In this vlog, my DD saw a pair of Mickey ears, Minnie, actually. My DW comes into the room and my DD asks to get a pair when we go to Disney World. My DW's response? "Of course you can." Me (to myself): "Score!" I then go on with: "Oh that's a given. Every kid needs a pair of Mickey ears." The DW agreed. It's working. bwahahaha Now I just have to get a permanent job, which I'm working on.

Happy Wednesday. It's hard to keep up with the day of the week. I guess if that's my only problem, then it's a good day.

Having spent most of 2019 without a job, and most recently this past month or so, I can agree.

That's good news for the Mrs' music job and the COVID tests. I'm not sure this testing non-symptomatic people is sustainable, but if it's a way to return to normal, then we need to move forward with it.

Apparently they found some students who tested positive, so I guess it works. I don't know, if it makes people feel better. It makes me feel better, how about that?

Life Insurance sales. And, it's a no go. I'm not sure I really want to put in the early work for the later payoff, and I'm not a fan of the whole life insurance product.

That's not me either. All that work for a possible pay off doesn't sit well with me.

Except this is way worse. They have caused hysteria, resulting in business closures and institutional changes, not to mention the future financial and health implications. I read an article about the impact of COVID on Americans and the possibility of it effects having to do with our unhealthy diet. That's going to be a lot longer fix.

True...didn't think of it that way, especially the institutional changes.

And it's Friday. And, I'm returning to the world of the employed. I got the PRN social worker job at the hospital. While there is no set schedule, it will average 2 to 3 days a week, with 10 hour days. I'll have to go thru an initial 6 weeks of training. I was really hoping to find something for 30 hours a week, so this may be the right fit. You all have a great weekend.

That, and the statistical analysis was interesting. Where they actually found 2% voter fraud in one precinct - 2/100 rejected ballots changed in favor of Biden - was more convincing. I didn't look at the total #s, but I'm guessing 2% change in votes wouldn't have been enough to change the outcome, and that wasn't enough evidence to consider reviews in other precincts or states.

Sadly, it may not matter anymore. With the Georgia Senate election results, our national two party system can be drawn to match California. Their voting districts are designed to keep a few republican areas, but will always have a democrat majority. Hopefully, they can figure out how to export the nice weather with their high tax plan. As a registered independent, my party never had a chance of winning.

Happy Saturday. Or for me, just another day of being retired for the moment. Yesterday, I received emails to interview for 2 additional jobs I applied for. Both are in management, which I know translates to headaches and hours, and maybe more $. The hospital has to do their background check before making me an offer. So, I've got some time and still a decision to make. Do I want to try for more money now or the flexibility for more money later?

I tried to Google that and couldn't find it. Which precinct or State was that?
