Got some really sad news yesterday. A distant friend (whom I keep up with on FB) lost his oldest DD (14) to a sudden Brain Aneurism, just two days after her first day of High School (year round school). So, hug your kids tight and if you feel led to, please lift up my friend's family in prayer.

Sorry to start the weekend off on a bummer-foot....

RW

Awful news. No parent should EVER have to bury their child. Thoughts & prayers.

Horrible. Prayers and thoughts to the family.

That sounds Great Ron!

By the way, does it look like this?

The one I would be using is this one's Big Brother the yellow one right behind it:thumbsup2, for some reason this year I do want to take out the red one with some friends (M&F's) and crank the song Love Shack while driving around town:rotfl2: Maybe even let the girls go for a spin while cranking Our Lips Are Sealed:confused3, Either way I'm sure others that would see it would think it was cool:confused3

Evening guys.. still have been super busy here, not a lot of time other then to try and keep caught up. One day left and I start a 17 day vacation that we are very looking forward too. After my shift we head out to get the girls who've been overly spoiled at their grandparents for the past three weeks. Got a week of staycation, followed by a week at the cottage. Hopefully it'll get us back on track.

Happy Friday eve, men.

I am in the home stretch for completing my staff's mid year reviews. 4 left 2 really good guys, one that needs a nudge to perform better and one that is probably going to be slug fest...a "one man left standing discussion."

Tomorrow will be one week out from my knee surgery. I'm not scared but anxious. I just want to get it done and move forward with the rehab. I don;t want a bum knee to slow me down in November.

Since we just surpassed the half way point of July, time is about to fly!

We have a few picnics left on the schedule, some trips to local amusement parks and then the school year will be upon us. :crazy2:

I need Dr. Doofenshmirtz to invent me something to slow down the summer!

Happy Friday guys! I'm glad you guys enjoy the updates. Norm, believe it or not, the hard part was in Poland. We have our moments here, but we felt like everything we did over there was being monitored and evaluated.

Yesterday we took the kids to one of the local parks, and it's a pretty large park for the area. All of the kids enjoyed it tremendously. My DD Sara, though had I think the most fun. She can be a little inward at times, but yesterday on the swings she was just as free and happy as a 7 year old can be. I could hear her giggling all the way from the other side of the play area :).

Have a great day guys. Tonight we go to the county fair

Oh I read that you are only gonna be in the Boston area for a few days. Have fun and if you are around for longer than a few days hit me up! ;)

I imagine that would be difficult for both you and the children. Glad to hear they had fun yesterday.

17 days off is an excellent vacation. I get close to that over the Christmas break, but I'm just stuck in the house with the dds.

Sorry guys don't have time to get caught up right now so bacon, beer, and prayers take what you need.
And here is something to think about till I get back

Friday at last! A few more days and I'll be caught up and ready for the auditors.:scared:

Looks like everyone except for me is off today. Hope everyone travels safe and enjoys the weekend. Weather here is supposed to be spectacular all weekend.

Before I left work yesterday, I found out a shipment of training manuals hadn't been delivered to a training site. So, I get to waste a bunch of time today going through multiple departments to find out who didn't do their job. Fortunately, there is no accountability so everyone aspires to mediocrity.

Tell me you have a training manual on how to deliver training manuals.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Today is my friday as well... Family has been up at the beach all week while I've been working. Taking tomorrow off to join them. :thumbsup2

As they say.....Life's a beach! Have fun. We have had camps all week for the kids while I work.:sad2: The good thing is DD has been at a camp where they make cookies, muffins and such as one of the activities so at least I get a special treat every day when I get home. No big plans for the weekend, it's the first one since September that we have not had a sports game. Not sure what to do.:confused3

Morning Men,

last day in the office this week for me. :cool1:

Happy Friday on a Thursday!

This "last day of the week" thing must be contagious. After DS's baseball game tonight, we're heading up to my sister's cabin for our annual family fun weekend. We usually have about 15-20 people up there, but this year, my Aunt, several other cousins and their families will be joining us, bringing the total to around 30. Should be a lot of fun.

We will be doing the same next weekend in Maine. Of course the cabin we go to has no running water. It's basically camping without needing a tent. It is however always fun to get together. Enjoy your weekend.

Good morning Dads. (It is still before noon here)

It is also my Friday. We have every second Friday off (9 hour days M-Th and every other Friday is an 8 hour, for a total of 80 hours every 2 weeks).

House hunting planned tomorrow with DW. Other than that, we have no major plans for the weekend. No doubt there will be a "Honey-do" list in there somewhere along with some yard work.

Good luck finding a house.

Sorry to hear, prayers being sent to the family.

And I always thought it leaned to the right… who knew? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's a matter of perspective.:rotfl2: I guess he wanted to take the oil from the back side. Wait.......does a round tower have a back side......My head is starting to hurt.

No worries. I set my standards pretty low. ;)

That's the best way to always exceed expectations.:thumbsup2

Need to have my knee redone, putting it off until after summer softball and the planned August and October trips. Don't want to take any chances. Hope everything goes well.

Not sleeping again I see. Must be the departure of LeBron.

Have you tried hitting yourself in the head with a REALLY big hammer? It seems to work in the cartoons. No need to thank me for the advice.

Sounds like a great day. I remember those days when the kids were younger and we would just go hang out.

Have fun at the fair! All of ours are in the fall around here.

If you want to drive up on the 30th, I can get an extra ticket to the Red Sox game. Let me know.

Thank you for the offer. I just checked DWs schedule and not only is she working that day but is on call from 11p-7a that night. I'll take a rain check if you're offering one. I'd love to come up for a game at some point. :thumbsup2

No more work!

Have a great couple of weeks, fellas. And please pray that we'll be able to manage this trip with the baby. :faint:

It has been awhile and just had time for a brief read through. Seems like Situation Normal.

We were having a great year here. Dry, low humidity and plenty of sun, but lately the sky has opened up. Not a good situation as the disease pressure is really going to build and weeds will come on like mad. I checked my hops and I am hoping the cones mature before the diseases take over. I'm also in charge of growing 1500 pumpkins for pre-K-1st graders that come in for Pumpkin Days and really don't need cool rainy weather. I'll be very happy when the people who think this is a good idea retire. For most of them it is a 2-3 day event but for me it is almost 5 months of work with very little return.

Have a great weekend and bacon for all.

It sounds like they are assimilating well and good for Sara. County fair, a good way to introduce the kids to the many ways Americans invented to fry food. Have a great weekend.

Got up to 1,086,964. Fell asleep about 3:00 and was up a little before 7:00. Welcome to my life.

i would do a side trip but I need to be in DC to catch a ride with a friend to attend a wedding in Western PA. It is a second marriage though, maybe I could blow it off.

I wish. Would not curse anyone with insomnia, well maybe a nemie I know.

Good luck with the knee. Really, I mean it.

Forget what I just said.

Wimp. A real man would put his foot down and go. I met Mel and I am sure she wouldn't mind.

No more work!

Have a great time and enjoy flying with the baby in tow.

True but think of disappointing Linus in his search for the Great Pumpkin. Continued good weather and a good crop. Especially the hops.
