Afternoon fellow dads, hope all is well with everyone. Not a lot going on here, thinking about taking DD on a quick great wolf lodge trip next month. I'll start training next week for ToT 10 miler and technically Star Wars too. Nice pic. Alexandra noticed that we have the same Olaf here. She wants an Elsa dress. I think I'll need to have one made. She is 5' 5" and not likely to fit into any of the costumes you buy on line. I think you'll make a great Olaf, try not to impale yourself.

Those dresses are insane to get right now, thank you, I'll try to make Olaf proud and not to impale myself but I do love warm hugs and the beach.

Would love that, but I'm traveling for work next week (speaking of, any Dads in the Edison, NJ area? ), how about the following?

Fellas-

If they come out with discounted rooms for my date range, I can get in to POR for the same $$ as renting points at SSR. So all other things being equal, which resort would you prefer?

Having stayed at both; POR. The theming, and ability to use both POFQ and POR is a great plus. And also, Yeehaw Bob.

OK, not sure how I missed it if it was reported on here. Disney is having a hard ticket event on August 23rd called "Villians Unleashed" at HS. Guess who just got his tickets. Thats right. This guy.

Not sure when it was announced, but it sounds similar to the craziness of last year, but with some planning and limited ticket sales. Over 50 of the villains are supposed to be running around. The date just happened to fall into our dates. Looks like Villains and MNSSHP this year.

Got that email last week I think. DW wanted to go, but we have a family wedding that weekend... I was all for it. Would have made for 5 trips in one year... My record before this year is 2...

We stayed at Grand Californian when we did DL and the benefits are many including special entrance from resort to California Adventure. I know most of us are WDW die yards but not having to deal with any transportation other than your feet was great. Smaller scale but DTD, Ca Adventure and DL all basically right outside your door is awesome. DW and I agree that if we are lucky enough to go with grand kids we would do DL if there are strollers.

Well, found some time to go back and see what's going on around here. I knew my late uncle was a Disney fan and went a lot, but during the funeral I got a new appreciation for his affection. He had been 44 times and the pictures boards and pins on his burial jacket were Disney themed. While he was never a DisDad officially, he will always be one and his qualifications went above and beyond.

I don't know what anyone else thinks about this, but I wonder if you could apply for him after the next person comes around... I have been wondering who would get 777.

Grand Californian is nice, but those off property motels are so much cheaper (and many are within walking distance). Go in with the right expectations. An off property hotel won't be anywhere as nice as a Disney deluxe hotel.

It feels weird but I received all my costumes yesterday except for the shorts for the 5k/kids race,10k and 1/2, have a rebel pilot uniform t shirt for the 5k/kids race and either a boba fett or darth vader performance shirt for the 10k and 1/2.

Good morning! Hope all is well, DD has a dress up day at summer camp every Thursday, last weeks theme was Space so she wore a Star Wars shirt where storm troopers are dancing at a disco. This weeks theme is super heroes so she's using last years halloween costume... Bat girl! She's super excited!

Yes, we can do lunch or at least a meet up. I was planning to head to a spot near you and then after lunch head to NY. We don't have agate that night I believe so it's just getting there at a reasonable time and the drive is about 6 hours with SRV's. Let me know what the best time and place would be and we can get it set. Paul needs to know as well.

Talked to DW and the embassy appointment went well. The visas for the kids will be ready tomorrow. That means my family is coming home on Sunday!!!
