Happy Friday Gentlemen.
Went to the orthopedic surgeon today and got the news I didn't want to hear. Pretty sure my left ACL is in tatters. We didn't do an MRI to verify that, but he said there "is a lot of sloppiness in there." Easter Sunday, while playing some pick up soccer with my son and nephews, I planted to kick the ball, heard a POP in my knee and crumpled to the ground. It's been in pain ever since. It's finally gotten to the point where I can sort-of kind-of gimp around half way decently. Doc wants to do a month or so of Physical Therapy to see if I can strengthen my knee up enough to avoid surgery and the 7-9 month rehab that comes with it.
(Edit - Dang-I'm-getting-old ownage. Yippie.)
Yah but youre still younger than me.
Sorry to hear this. Having spent time in casts and boots, may I say I hope PT is all that is needed.
7-9 months of rehab would come under the heading of: Bad.
You might be my nemesis, but bravo, sir.

Andy, youre obviously not feeling well.
You either need to see a doctor of get the back to Disney pronto.
But before ypu take it back
Thank you sir.
It's an admirable philosophy. And we'd all love to be paid for doing something we love to do. But I'd also argue that you shouldn't feel regret about doing whatever you needed to do in order to provide for your wife and son. This is also praise-worthy, and that kind of sacrifice for your family should not be taken lightly.
Sometimes the grass really is greener somewhere else, but the truth is all work is hard and trying at times. Mostly because every job requires you to deal with other people.
Cause
thats what you do.
I do believe thats a Man Law.
And youre correct; the world would certainly be an easier place to get along in if it werent for all the other people in it
Which once again supports my philosophy of no exercise/ supreme laziness. I do hope the pain subsides and it gets better. I am sitting in car rider line at school, waiting to take my youngest to doctor as she has been complaining about her heel and limping.
Hope that turns out not to be serious.
Nothing hurts like watching your kids hurt.
I wish I had selected a better career path, but I'm happy with all the non work time I get with the family, and enough money to wrangle a yearly trip to WDW.
You do seem to have done well in selecting your trade-offs.
My last duty this afternoon before I head out of the office for the weekend was to sign a new contract. Our new customer is.......wait for it........wait for it.........IMAX! Yup, the one that does the giant movies.

Of course I asked what benefits I get out of it and the answer was...."you get to tell people you do business with IMAX".

I would have thought a lifetime movie pass was a minimum. Oh well. Have a good weekend guys.
Dang
so close and still so far.
Maybe you can get just a couple of pass out them. Write it into the contract if you can.
It would be cheaper to surgically attach you to a segway.
Now that makes for quite the visual
