Wedding in WDW. I thought about a vow renewal there, but I made need to start saving money now. I have two dds who love WDW as much as I do.

Same day? That is crazy talk. :crazy2: I get the 5K walking thing with dd. I can still go all day at the parks and outlast my family. No way I cold last another 10 miles.
WDW wedding and vow renewal sound expensive, if I ever get married I have a feeling my quick Vegas wedding idea would get thrown out so may have to use WDW as a backup.

Well the 5k is at 7:30am so I figure we can do that then some HS touring and then rest up for the 10 miler, with my training I hope it'll work out.

Update on the FIL vacation. He had asked for some prices, so I did a price for AoA, POR, FW Cabins, GF, and OKW GV. Haven't heard anything since. So, SIL will get her way through pouting and we'll vacation elsewhere. Or, they will wait to last minute and we won't be doing any ADRs or FP+. Ahhhh, touring WDW in July with no ADRs, FP, or plans. Sounds like a great trip.

I've been reading your updates and man that sounds like a headache. After our first trip I realised nothing beats planning ahead for everything!

You could join the early Oct. DisDads mini meet up!

Would love to, but I'm thinking a little closer to now. DW is agreeable, so gotta strike while the iron is hot...

There's that little trip January 8-11th....I know a few guys that are going...:thumbsup2 ;)

:thumbsup2 Biggest selling point I have for this trip is that we would just get annual passes, as we'll be there in less than a year, so the tickets would basically be free (my logic). She likes that idea. And if I have an annual pass, well that just makes the January trip a no brainer! :cool1:

Upping my % of being at DDCC3 to 78% at this point... and climbing... :goodvibes

It's pretty cool, but expensive. They throw some serious "entertainment taxes" at you... It'll be worth it though. :thumbsup2

Well done Wildcats!

Agreed! :thumbsup2

Might as well round that up to 80% - yeah - that's much better.... :thumbsup2

Tonight's Dinner is,

BACON Chili!

Needs more bacon! :thumbsup2

Sunday night ownage.

A lot of great games so far and that was one of the top ones. The pitiful SEC is now 6-0 in the tourney with Tenn. playing Mercer in about half an hour. My bracket is done. Three Elite 8's out but all the final 4's are still alive. It looks like Nemie's and my bet will depend on Michigan or Louisville. He has Mich. while I have the Cardinals. Florida's trip to the final 4 got easier with Kansas and Syracuse out..

There's a chance UL won't make it by UK. Cats are playing really well.

Well done Wildcats!

:thumbsup2

DW and I got married in our back yard. We invited about 50 and closer to 150 showed up. They must have all been her friends. It was a rocking party.

I've looked at the Dis threads and Disney site about it. It is expensive. We dropped off the dds for the tea at the Grand Floridean with Alice. We didn't know what to do, so we ate lunch at the Grand Floridean Cafe. While there, a wedding party walked in with their tuxes and dresses. So, we finished our lunch and walked over to the wedding pavilion. They were finishing the clean-up, so we went inside and checked it out. It is a really beautiful view of the castle in the backdrop. My cell phone couldn't zoom in for a very good picture though. I'm not sure I would want to eat at the Grand Floridean Cafe following my wedding, and I definitely wouldn't want to wear a tux in the middle of the day in October.

Don't think UT has a chance against Michigan but its great to see them in the sweet 16.

Sounds like it was a rocking party! I would rather go on the cheap and splurge on the food and beer, that's a wedding!

Morning guys. I tried putting my bracket in the shredder yesterday, but it didn't want it either, lol. It must have tasted like the crappiness of my picks.

Good morning!

The bracket score isn't great at this point, but I'm not exactly in bad shape going forward. The only teams that I lost from my Elite Eight are Syracuse and Villanova and my Final Four is still in play. There have been years when I've lost half of my Final Four by the end of the first weekend. :lmao::rotfl2:

I do watch Survivor, I did think the entire brain tribe is well... less than advertised. ;)
::yes::

And I'm sure your SIL will make sure to point out the fact repeatedly that she was right, you shouldn't have gone to WDW. :sad2:

I forgot to join the DISDads group this year, but when I look at the bracket I did fill out, it feels more like sifting through wreckage.

Good morning gentlemen.

Daddy/daughter dance went well.

I hope everyone has a good weekend. I'll try and catch up later.

Nice! Going to fly out of Worcester? :confused3

Not sure. Trying to figure out the exact dates and then will research the airfare. Is it still cheaper? The only negative is the long ride to get there, but I may have a car pick us up and drop us off. Thinking of staying on the monorail line though since DD is really a MK and Epcot girl mostly. Thinking we'll be spending most of the time there.

But as I Toronto Blue Jay fan, we appreciate all that the Florida Marlins have done.

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

Dilemma: My DW and DD are going to see MUPPETS MOST WANTED this Tuesday with their girl guide group.

So do DS and I go this weekend? Or do we go to the same showtime as the guides group? or... do we do both, just in case ;)

I know it is a late response, but you should go with DS and let the girls have their day.

Good afternoon fellow dads, went on my first training run today and averaged 13 min mile, def need to improve on that but for a first training run very happy!

Was watching a cooking channel special on WDW restaurants and its amazing how much I didn't know about some restaurants, haven't been to Be Our Guest yet but the food looks great and during all my research somehow I always missed Coral Reef, DD would love that so it's def a must do next time.

Congrats on getting out there and starting your training. We ate at BOG last August. Food was OK, theming was awesome and the dessert was good. If you end up with a ressie, the cheese plate app is excellent. It is expensive though.

Went to a Gift Auction today, so what did I win:confused3

- $50 Gift Card to a high end seafood joint

- A free music lesson

- 4 one day passes to a indoor- outdoor water park

- 60 min full body massage (gave it to the wife she's really happy with it:thumbsup2)

spent $60 for around a $300 turn around, not too shabby:cool2:

Well done!

Hey guys. Been planning our trip next February, (my youngest sibling is getting married in wdw, so there's a need to plan quite a bit earlier than normal), and all of a sudden I'm getting the bug to do a quick trip sooner than that... Here's to hoping I find some cheap airfare...;)

I hear flying out of Worcester is cheaper.:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good luck! Looks like the wives in the northeast are on a good mood. That's 2 approvals in a week for us.:thumbsup2

January you say?:lmao::lmao:

In-laws should be out-lawed (see what I did there?:rotfl2:). Sorry your plans are not working out. Maybe you need to fight fire with fire. Have DD's called grandpa crying about not being able to go with him to Disney. That should do the trick. It would in my family.:thumbsup2

Yup, looks like I have a few points to make up. I almost chose Michigan to win it all so here's to hoping they get through to the final 4. Plus I really don't like Rick Pitino so I hope he loses soon.:rolleyes1

Morning David!

:lmao: I think it's still on the lower end of flights out of the area as far as costs go... It's so easy to get in and out, that it's worth it for me not to have to go into Logan...

Good morning. Going to see divergent today. The book was really good so I am excited to see the movie. I still need to see Saving Mr Banks. I don't watch nearly enough movies since the little one came around.

Hello Boys. :wave2:

Back from our week long adventure on the east coast. Had great meet-ups with Mark, Randall and Eric along the way. Saw all kinds of awesome stuff in Philly, Baltimore and DC. Hopefully we taught the kids a civics lesson or two.
Howdy fellow dads, It's official, have ToT 10miler registered, flights booked and now SSR studio booked for Oct 2nd-5th. I feel like I booked this one completely backwards so now gotta research Disney again since it looks like quite a bit has changed in a year, and I feel like I know nothing about Fastpass+.
Here's what you need to know about Fastpass+. It works fine, but it sucks. You'll get way less done in a day than you used to, but you'll be very efficient at doing what little you get done.
Good morning guys and hope all are well. Had a great meet with Chris during keys to the kingdom tour - again happy 40th Chris.

Good meeting you and the family. Remember- get Sean to work on fixing fastpass+. And for the rest of you- see that birthday pin on my shirt? It got me some free ice cream the night before at HS. :cool1:

Ya know the day before, my plane was delayed so they could de-ice the wings. So I wasn't really thinking about sunscreen when I packed. But man oh man did I get burned during that tour.
Nice job! Now on to Aloha Isle!
I really think that Aloha Isle should be fastpassable. I'd use one there. Also, the Parrot Bay rum Dole Whip in Epcot was magical.
Doing the 5K and 10 miler in the same weekend? If you add all the distances I have run in the past decade, it wouldn't add up to a 5K. :lmao:

You're just pacing yourself.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: So my expectations are pretty close to reality. :headache: :faint:
