:thumbsup2+1, Packing the RV for a full move to CJ's could take some time.

Morning Guys.

we managed to dig out after the storm and reopened the Province today. :lmao:

DS is playing in the age-class provincial basketball championship this weekend, starting later this afternoon. They will be in tough as they were moved up to the top tier. Hopefully the lessons learned from knocking off the top team in middle school will help those players and let them lead the others in a determined effort

Good luck this weekend to Declan! Moving up a grade for playoffs made a tougher bracket for us, but the top two teams were just too big for us. We did make it to #3, which was a great accomplishment for the girls.

Speaking of unexpected expenses, DW asked me to look at a house today during lunch. I had no idea we were ready to move but apparently we are.

 That's going to hurt the budget. We have been waiting for a house to come on the market. It is a definite maybe after we decided not to move. We have a friend in real estate and he is the broker when they put it on the market. Seems to meet all the criteria we want. We'll see.

Nope. I'll keep the 2003 Camry with mismatched hubcaps a bit longer. And her '06 Sienna will have to last a bit longer too.

The problem is that this house is in the neighborhood we've always wanted to get to and it was some kind of bankruptcy/foreclosure/bank kind of thing. So it's priced about $50k less than what it's probably worth. So while we thought we'd be in the market a year from now, this opportunity may be too good. It just went on the market yesterday, but hopefully someone else will buy it soon so we won't have to worry about it. It's just weird b/c both of us are hyper-conservative when it comes to money but the last few months (and next few months) have been bananas.

It must be the way the planets are aligned. We have been on a spending spree as well. I know you don't want it, but good luck anyway. Get yourself that home.

Friday morning ownage. To wrap up spring break we're doing a Disney movie marathon. Its too icky to go outside today and DW put the kaboosh on a Star Wars marathon.

I think that this winter has gotten the better of DW. She's looking at cities warmer than here (that's just about anywhere) where her company has a presence. We've narrowed it down to Kansas City, Omaha, Portland, Seattle, and Denver. Do I think we'll move? No, but one more winter like this and we might be heading to a warmer climate.

I wasn't aware that KC or Denver would be an upgrade in the weather. I'd be leaving too.:lmao::lmao:

Technically, isn't Star Wars a Disney marathon now?:confused3:thumbsup2

So… that’s an accomplishment?
And one worth bragging about?

Perfect camouflage! That’s exactly how the rest of us look.
Well… possibly except for CJ, but it does apply to most of us anyway.

No, not really a bragging achievement, but my nemie does live in Miami and a fan of the Phins. I need to take my positives where I can get them. Did I mention the snow yesterday and glaciers in my yard?:confused3

Just viewed the house. It has potential but the previous owners beat the crap out of it. Not vetoed yet but we'll see.

And wishing you all a CJ Kind Of Day!

I'll take a week of CJ Mondays at this rate. Work has been kicking me in the tochas.

The plus side is the following:

Tuesday going to visit my client in Philly and then taking them to the hockey game to watch my Blackhawks kick some Flyers.... Captain, I hope Drew will be donning his Indian haed with pride!

Then back home Wednesday morning, and Thursday off to the Carribean for a week. The best part is, no cell phone, no wifi, in other words, no way for work to get in the way.

So I won't be arround much for the next couple of weeks (not that I've been around here much the past couple of weeks either) but I'll be thinking of all of you.

Prayers for those in need, Praise for those deserving, Bacon for all!

I am looking at a few dinner options for my upcoming (solo) business trip to The World. Looking for opinions/suggestions on a few places I haven't tried before:

(I finally remembered to set a ticker, too.)
Your company sends you to The World? Are you hiring? I don't know what you do but I can learn

That generally happens in foreclosures, its sad but true. The good news is it helps hold the price down, and you can redo it just like you like it.

Alot of houses around here when the market tanked people were pulling out all of the plumbing. The copper was worth as much as the house. They were wrecked and cost a fortune to fix so the flippers couldn't even move them.

Slightly bigger, closer to church and work. One additional bedroom which is key because right now my girls share a room but that won't last forever. Did I mention the pool? We also wanted to get in to a certain school district and this would accomplish that. I honestly hope it sells quickly or the bank/owner won't budge on price.

Got’cha.
May the right answer present itself. I can certainly see where an extra room for your girls would be a benefit. The allure of an excellent school system is also a pretty powerful incentive. That has everything to do with where I live. As for pools… Depends on the person but our experience with them is that they are a whole lot of work for relatively little additional recreational gain. Statistically they also add little to nothing to the appraisal value of most properties. Community pools are a far better option (for us at least).

I suspected as much. CJ does have us all beat when it comes to bragging ‘bout the weather.
But sadly, I too am a l-o-n-g time follower of the woeful Fins.
That’s why I didn’t see trouncing them as much of a victory. :lmao:

I certainly didn't mean to stir up a nemesis controversy. You both can buy me a beer and we'll call it even. Aye, Team Sparrow rules! :lmao:

Don't be greedy, I already owe you two.

Good morning guys! Just need to get through the day and tomorrow arrive at the world. Looking forward to St Pats weekend in the world to start off the trip :shamrock:

Have a great time. I almost wish I was at Ragland Road for St. Pats. Sure it is nuts though.

Good luck with the house decision. And there is nothing wrong with going on a splurge once in a while.

I am with you Rob. But I don't think Jim mentioned that we split with the Phats last year. And we have less snow down here.

We're not Phat anymore, Vince isn't coming back.:lmao::lmao: I'm still trying to figure out if makes sense to finish in the top 3 or 4 teams every year with little chance to win the whole thing or to just tank it and start over. It's always more fun when your winning, but in 4 years we are in trouble again unless they start addressing what happens when Brady is gone, We may be flying in for the Pats vs. Fins game this coming season. I'll let you know.

No more snow here either, just giant ice glaciers.:mad:

Your not picking Miami to win the national title are you? I don't have to worry about picking local teams, none of them will be playing after this weekend.

In Golden Oak? :rotfl:

Your company sends you to The World? Are you hiring? I don't know what you do but I can learn

It is a side business trip -for my travel agent stuff I do on nights/weekends. An added benefit - it has some business-related tax deductions involved. :thumbsup2

As a proud University of Florida Alum, I will have them winning it all. Florida toyed with Missouri today and then beat the carp out of them in the second half. I hate the U even though the kid probably will be an intern there this summer at their Marine Life Science school. On the football side, I am somewhat optimistic that the new GM will not be the complete idiot Ireland was. Let me know if you are here for the game. Will be glad to go with you and buy you a beer or two.

Oh, good luck with the glaciers. Kind of chilly here today, probably won't reach 80.

OK, now that doesn't suck.

They would be warmer but more ice. I hate ice. We were surprised how warm Denver is. If we were to relocate that would be my first choice.

I think Star Wars is a Disney movie DW does not and since the couch isn't comfortable I have to agree.

Mega Millions is over $300M. All it takes is one winning ticket....

I might have to look into being a TA again. With Chaos and Mayhem going to school full time, I'll have more free time.

Do they have camper hook-ups for me? :lmao:

They did look good against UK. UL has been playing well. Could there be a UL Florida championship game this year?

TGIF.... Beer time... :badpc:

Surely you aren't limiting beer time to Fridays. Everytime is beer time.

Don't be greedy, I already owe you two.
.

I'm not greedy. What does Captain Jack say? Take all you can. Leave none behind. Aye!

I suspected as much. CJ does have us all beat when it comes to bragging ‘bout the weather.:

And the beaches. And the girls in bikinis.

:thumbsup2+1, Packing the RV for a full move to CJ's could take some time..

Nah. I could just drive the Aztek down and live out of it. I'll swim in CJ's pool and th chlorine should get most of the smell off me.

And that's the other thing. We refinanced a few years ago to a 15-yr mortgage. We'd almost certainly have to go back to a 30 to do this. That goes against all the plans I had. Oh well - time to go look at the house and veto this plan before it gets any further.

Those two certainly seem to be at odds. That is a big decision and I'll say a prayer. Good luck.

Well if I had a better work ethic, maybe my TA stuff would have been more fruitful and I could wind up in Golden Oaks. As it is, I'm going to collect my last commission from FTJ and retire.
TGIF.... Beer time... :badpc:

I just finished our company's St Patty's day 4k(ish) run. We have a beer truck at the end. In other words, I already got my beer!:drinking1

:cool1: we upgraded and will be staying in a deluxe our whole trip. :cool1:

I may have read it long. Glad to hear they went well.

It was my fault I looked back.

Watching Cinderella on Disney Junior and they are showing the dance in the ballroom. Now, I have been in Cinderella's Castle and it doesn't look a thing like that.
