Hey guys. Hope all are well. Trying to enjoy the last part of the weekend. Sushi for dinner tonight. :thumbsup2

Milestone today, my wife has put up with me for 15 years of marriage...so I'm taking her to Disney World (with our 5 kids). Few days to go!

Congrats!

Morning David... Here is a pic of one of the shoppers at the Ikea near me. (I swaer to you this is not edited, photoshopped, and IS actually at Ikea).

Yes it's so cold up here, our baby sasquatches need to wear coats.

I competed in that when I was in high school. What categories? Prayers to those in need. Any updates on the pirate princess?

He competed in the Tech Bowl and Engineering Design. He took 2nd in state for engineering design so now it looks like he may be going on to nationals with his team in Washington DC the end of June.

BBQ! I can only wish, still a foot of snow in my yard. Make a burger for me if you could, just a slice of tomato and a slice of raw onion...
Don't let a little snow keep you off the pit. Once you get the fire box hot you will have a nice melted work area. And frozen wood smokes good.

Congrats. I did bridge building, rocketry, graphic solutions and tech problem solving. Swept regionals but 3rd in rocketry and tech problem solving at state was the best I did.
Engineering design sounds like what we called graphic solutions. Wish we would have had tech bowl.

Quick poll. How many of you have some idiot at work that's gonna be late Monday and blame it on time change?

That is true we threw them all back. It was fun just be out there before all the huts have to be off the lake.

Huts? You are supposed to just be sitting out in the open on an over-turned 5 gallon bucket!

Congrats to him and his team!

Thankfully, I just come in whenever I feel like it (which is why I am working? now) so I have no idea when anyone else arrives.

Milestone day.

DS got his first shiner. Nothing noble though, he was on the neighbors trampoline and landed wrong. Should be a beauty but no good story to go with it.

DD also asked a question at the dinner table and when I said "It is the dot at the end of sentence", she said "that isn't what I mean". :headache: SWMBO needs to have a talk with her. :rolleyes1 I has hoping we could at least make it until she was 10 before we started having these types of questions. :sad2:

Yeah I don't know what you could do with the magic bands. Maybe you could put them in like a shadow box? DS likes to play with them.

I like that idea. I was thinking some sort of sculpture thing, if we got new bands for each and every trip. I was thinking a 3D Mickey head, but that would take a lot of bands.
Chain them together and decorate the Christmas Tree with it!

I was planning on being that idiot.

So totally out of nowhere, my wife agreed to do the Wine & Dine half marathon with me. But alas, it is sold out. Anyone know if they ever open more spots for a race? We've got some time to book the Tower of Terror 10-miler as a backup if we want. This would mean 4 trips to Disney within 12 months and 2 of them with no kids! 40 is a good year as it turns out.

Talk her into doing the half in January! :rolleyes1

:scratchin That's just crazy enough to work.

Wait a sec. Part of the reason she's willing to do this is because of the APs we bought in December. She likes to get her money's worth- it makes her feel like she's getting back at the mouse for all the money he's taken from me. The last thing she'd want to do is shell out more money for tickets.

Getting use out of those APs, huh? The ToT may be in October when CJ and I are there. That should be an incentive to go then.

Then I could only see them in December.

DW has had that conversation with both dds. I told her I would have 'those talks' with our boy children.

Thankfully, I just come in whenever I feel like it (which is why I am working? now) so I have no idea when anyone else arrives.

You have the same schedule as I do, although I try to avoid work as much as possible.

We have the et/ct time zone change about an hour from my house. So, I get people lat all the time not understanding how that time change thing works.

Watching the live feed of The Festival of Fantasy parade in MK...very cool!!!

I tried, but couldn't get it to stay on my iPad. I guess there were too many users.

Sounds good. Are you bringing it to my house?

As soon as she suggested the AP's, I knew I could get her there and extra time in the fall. Are you there Oct 3-4? A chance to meet you would be a clincher for DW. If CJ is there, he would hold the distinction of being the only Disdad I will have met twice.
Then I could only see them in December.

You're in the South. You're allowed to leave Christmas decorations up all year long.

Nice monkey. Hope that isn't a real mink coat.:rolleyes2

I guess it's because the Chatty Carl's don't want to hang with us. :confused3

I watched it with DD too. It was cool. Seemed like there were less floats and it went veeery slow, but that dragon was awesome though.

If you really want to run you need to find a group that has tickets. Check out the travel providers on the Wine & dine page on rundisney. The prices are ridiculous though.

Yea, do it. ::yes::
