Well today made for an interesting day. An elderly woman either forgot which was the brakes and which is the gas or which way reverse and forward are, but the bottom line was she drove into the wall of the store. Didn't go right through, but did some structural damage to the wall and windows etc. No one was hurt but one staff member was really lucky not to get hit. Only stock lost was some delisted stock on the counter to be marked down. There are pics on my FB page if anyone wants to see the damage.

And now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

I blanked out and went back to see what this was about. I must have missed it. This is scary, I'm really hoping and praying that they get to the bottom of this quick

She must have thought you had a drive-thru. Literally. :rotfl2:
I hope all gets straightened out and back to normal.

Stumbled upon this thread earlier today, and now I'm wondering where the last 2 1/2 hours went and why I'm craving bacon...

Real name is Nate, I'm a father of three(DD 4, DS 2, DD 1). Kids are young and I'm a firm believer in DIS Dad Club Criteria 44, hook 'em young, hook 'em for life. I've been a lurker of DISboards for years, but mostly stuck to DL forums as I'm from Utah, and visit DL on a yearly basis, but have not been to WDW in 20 years.

I visited DL a few times as a kid w/the one trip to WDW, but wasn't fully converted to Waltism until my first DD came along. A switch flipped and we've been back every years since her 1st birthday. In the 360 days I'm not in DL, I'm usually researching the parks, learning about Walt and watching Disney movies with the kiddos.

I'm a Windows SA, that's an absolute sports fanatic. Love the Utah Jazz, 49ers and the SF Giants.

Look forward to getting to know all of you and sharing in some Disney Bromance!

Welcome, Nate! Another IT guy, too. :thumbsup2

I can't believe this thread is still going. I thought for sure it would be filled.

Anyways,

Well, haven't been on in a bit. Lots going on.
I didn't get the QA manager position for those who didn't know, and they still have yet to fill it. (has been open since Jan 3rd)
My helper is still here. They have been trying to replace her since about the same time.

Just found out they finally hired a new manager that will start on the 17th.
Also found out they finally hired someone to replace my helper. Don't know his start date.
only one quirk.
I have now decided to move on also. I put in my two weeks on monday.
I will be going back to CNC Machining. The pay is about the same, benefits are the same but cheaper, distance is a bit more to drive, will be going to 2nd shift but will probably only be working 48 hours per week instead of the 61+ i do currently.

I haven't been on here much as of late because of all the changes and time I have had to focus on keeping up along with assisting with the boss' old job. My wife had surgery last thursday also. So she is laid up for several weeks now on top of it.

so busy here. But hopeful that in the end everything works out.

Good luck and I hope all works out for the best for you and your family.

I decided for lent this year, I would give up religion for 40 days. Now I can continue to eat bad and keep all my bad habits. :rotfl:

Congrats Brent!

Trying to put the house back together after DW went on her semiannual cooking binge making prepackaged meals for lunch. Sunday afternoon I started getting the chills. I still went into work figuring a double dose of dayquill would hold me. I got on the Early Out list anyways. About half way through the night full blown flu symptoms kick in. I worked an extra 5 minutes even though I was second on the list. I had the chills before I walked outside. The 100 yard walk to my vehicle in -25 degrees plus a wind had my teeth chattering for over two hours after I got home. When I got home DW tells me the water heater went out. I had to deal with the plumber while trying not to collapse from the hot flashes and chills. Then Tuesday morning I was greeted to a honey do list a mile long and a kitchen full of dishes and two kids who took a double dose of their Calliou pills. Needless to say I have not been a happy camper the last 72 hours. CJ, I hope Crash gets well soon. Truly scary thing to deal with. Hope everyone else is doing well. Thanks for letting me vent.
That's what we are here for and hope you get better soon and that things calm down for ya

Welcome and I see Randall got ya your official stuff. We did DL spring break 2013 and loved it. The new CA and the tradition of DL combined with the coziness of it all. We are DVC members and loved Grand California Resort and the dedicated entrance to CA. As of now we are planning to hit DL during Christmas this year to take int the season at DL as we have done WDW once during Christmas.

Tip 'O the glass back at ya our Canadian friend! Will toss a back a dole whip with rum from the Canada area during Epcot Flower and Garden and will be thinking of you and your Dad when there - Cheers Big Tiki and congrats on 5,000!

Mmmm.....bacon. Congrats on the 5K and the beer.

How many inches of snow you got up there now?? :scared: I see you sent some ice and snow our way this week. Thanks a lot. :lmao:

Hey Don.

Time to look for a new, high-pay, low effort job. If you find one, let me know.
]

I've got the low pay low effort one wrapped up.

I decided for lent this year, I would give up religion for 40 days. Now I can continue to eat bad and keep all my bad habits. :rotfl:

I stopped giving things up years ago. I just say extra prayers for all my bad habits.

I did have two very good helpers at dinner. I'm hoping they stay that way. Right now DD is passed out in my spot in the bed with a puke bucket right next to her. We're hoping that is just precautionary. She was miserable but after a few massive burps she went to our bed curled up and passed out.

We're looking at DLR this Xmas season too. Right now we're thinking 12/7 through 12/12 with plans subject to change until booking.

:rotfl2: Haven't seen that one yet! Thanks, Barry:thumbsup2

it's slowly melting....but we probably still have 5-6 inches on the ground. I think we'll have the tall snow piles in parking lots till April.

And the ice and snow your way is Brian's fault! :thumbsup2

It's melting?!? What? Brian must not be working hard enough up there.

Howdy stranger :wave2:

Hey David!

What is this Spring you speak of? :confused3

See Barry's post. :lmao:

Randall! Hi there! Hope you and the Mrs are doing well

Hi Norm!! Holding down the fort here I see.

Welcome Nate. Dues are payable in dole whips, bacon, beer, or cake. You mail them all to me, and I will distribute them to everyone. Ignore any warnings from Jim as he is still drunk from all the rum.

Actually it was that much and more. I'm just playing with you guys to see who would notice. I will be adding a new pic as an avatar soon. Just been too lazy to do it.
:

I noticed. As long as it isn't my wife's haircut, I notice.

I can't believe this thread is still going. I thought for sure it would be filled.
.

Traffic is way slower. I'm guessing there are so many locations now. Or, Tim scared them all away.

You know, you've agreed with me 2 times in one week. You are trying to get me to join Team Randall aren't you?? :sad2::sad2:

Randall is stalking you, too.

Happy Wednesday guys! For Lent I was going to give up being awesome, but I'm a DISDad, it goes with the title ;)

Just way too awesome. We can only hope to contain you. Took my dds to 6:00 PM Mass, got ashes, and they started hitting each other outside in the parking lot as to who was able to sit in the front seat. They got a lot of out of Ash Wednesday.

Morning guys.

Quick mid week vacation check in. Looks like we are heading for the dark side today and DS and his uncle have decided that we are headed to Islands of Adventure. Should be fun.
.

Have fun.

Ummmmm….. where is everyone? :confused3

I'm here. Drove 225 miles today. Tired.
