My son and I are just as fanatical about Star Wars as we are about Disney! I can't wait for this movie!! :thumbsup2
I'm impatiently waiting.
You should meet my nemie. I think he secretly wanted his kids to be Luke and Leia or chaos and mayhem or sonny and Cher. He'll tell you. Oh he's the one with the fake lightsaber in his profile pic. Only his nemie has a real one
Instead of labeling them A and B we called them Luke and Leia until they were born. Chaos and Mayhem came around when they were about 18 months and into everything. Sonny and Cher didn't make the first cut. Neither did Jenna and Jameson for some reason. :confused3

If you only knew the power of the dark side. Tell your DW that her butt is better than the one in the picture and they should have asked her to model.
Our couch is only comfy for a night or two, not a month.
Post pad much? :rotfl:
He's a lawyer. They like being long winded. ;)

Morning Brent. I read your FB post. Glad your dad is at peace. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
Good morning Dads. We have long awaited consultation this afternoon for DD's knee. After 3 surgeries concern is that there just ain't enough meniscus left and a transplant may be required but we will find out today doc's thoughts as two of 'em are partnering up on the diagnosis. Wish us luck.

Enjoy the season / time of year with the families guys!
Good luck. Hope its good news. I did a paper on meniscus transplant procedures waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in college. Very cool. I don't know if the rehab time is still about a year but the knee should be good as new after all is said and done.

Thanks everyone. As those on the FB know Dad finally passed last night just after 1am. Sat there with him till the end though so that was nice, but hard to watch the struggle. For the most part I'm the strongest one it seems, pretty at peace with the whole lot. Hardest part will be the viewings/funeral after that the healing begins.

Funny as it seems, I'm at work right now. It is crazy busy today, it keeps me focused and something to do. Plus, if I didn't come in, I'd have missed a light blowing up and catching the ceiling on fire! Never a full moment at the LCBO.

Hang in there Brent....continued prayers for your family!

Maybe after basketball practice. Probably shouldn't be drunk in front of other people's children at the Baptist Church gym. :scared1:

Why can I picture you as Buttermaker from the Bad News Bears.:lmao::lmao: Probably not good in church though.

Thanks guys, talked to the furnace guy and it looks like we will be changing out the furnace. He is coming in the morning when I'm here and we will go over things then. I think I decided on a two stage furnace, the efficiency is really high and I should save a few bucks on my electric bill overall. The government is offering some rebates when you install a new high efficiency furnace so hopefully I can cash in on that.
Trying to find a silver lining somewhere here....

Compared to what some other of us are going through, a furnace is just a furnace.

Prayers to those that need them.

We had our crack last year. We pay around $450 a year for the top service plan. We get bi-annual inspections, cleaning and service as part of the plan. We had our replaced for a couple hundred bucks. The labor was free due to the plan, only parts. Of course as normal for us it was a Sunday so really saved the extra double time pay we would have been hit with. Ours was installed in 1993 so around the same age. Good luck getting the new one in quickly. Being cold stinks.

Thinking about you and your family Brent. Try to remember all the good times and spend some great time with your family.

Had the furnace guy at the house this morning and the new furnace is on order, hopefully he can get it in by the end of the week. We have plugged in some heaters so the house is warm. My only concern was pipes freezing, we have a crawl space under the house where all the duct work and pipes are, so it has been very cold the last few days. Like -20 degrees, and that is Celsius. For my American friends that is about "freeze your b@&$ off cold" degrees F. :lmao:

:lmao::rotfl2: We had a pretty good cold spell and about 2 feet of snow. Now it's a balmy 43 degrees and they are talking all of the snow being completely gone by Christmas. The least it could do is stick around for the holidays. I guess I should;t be complaining about good weather at the end of December.

Hope they get it fixed quickly.

Afternoon Gentlemen.

Just checking in. Got a good story on the dog front. DD asks if she's been really good. I told her yes. As I', walking away she says, "I hope Santa sees it and brings me a puppy." She gave me a look that could easily be interpreted that she was aiming that comment at me.

Ok, so what kind of a dog are you getting?:lmao::lmao:

No one has mentioned what day it is.

Boy am I glad I went back to see what I missed yesterday. Was off work. All I got to do was be dragged around the mall as a bag transport.:headache: Stupid Wednesdays.

Brent, continued prayers. Work was my sanctuary when my dad passed as well. If it helps you, it's not crazy.

You lost that battle when you said, "I do". Now, you're just negotiating terms of surrender.

Very sorry for your loss, I can relate, I lost my Dad a few years ago. It is very tough. Being strong for your family is a good thing, but also take time to mourn, however feels right for you.

Continued prayers go out to you and your family.

So basically the two most high maintenance dogs they could find? One that requires hours of exercise daily or they will eat your furniture, and another that needs daily grooming to avoid matting. :lmao:

I said I do and my wife shot the negotiator. Guess that means it was unconditional surrender. :confused3
