Not sure if there is a specific place for this, but I figure more eyes would see it here. I have a friend that is looking to rent some DVC points for a quick stay this May. He needs 32 points for a stay at Saratoga. I'd rent him mine, but I'm all tapped out. I even broke my personal rule and went into the pool before May. Many laughs from friends when they saw the look of fear in my face. Spent about 10 minutes in before I had to go back to the pool bar and put on my jacket.

So proud of my girls today. They won 18-16, with only five players on there...

So, I sit at a crossroad in my life. The wife and I have some decisions to make about the future of our family....

You got some good advice already. The private sector is more negotiable within parameters. I am also possibly making a change. An organization expressed interest in hiring me not as a consultant but as an employee. They asked my salary requirements and instead I asked what range they have for the position. The number they gave was acceptable so they set the starting point. A big thing for me is going to be vacation time since I already have insurance and $ are OK.

You certainly can ask them about what they are looking for in pay, benefits etc and make a decision based on that. A good thing about Disney is they have their campaign to hire vets so you have that going for you. Good luck.

I passed my black belt test so thanks for all the encouragement over these two years.

No kidding. Went outside to feed the dogs this morning wearing jeans and a polo. I actually thought it felt kind of good. It wasn't a mad dash to dump the food and get back in the door like it had been the past several weeks.

DW got slammed with a nasty flu bug last night. As a result, I'll be only working a half shift tonight, I'll need to get the girls from school, dinner etc. Think it's time for this winter to et up a bit.

We played the "guess the school calendar" game and lost. For the last - I don't know - 4 years, the school district has given the kids off days on the 4th Thursday and Friday of October. So we went ahead and booked our cruise on the Dream for that time, hoping that they'd do the same thing again. Nope. Next year's school calendar just came out and instead of having those two days off, they have off one day. October 31 - after we had already planned on being back. We had it planned that they would only miss 5 days of school, now we're up to a full week and half and are trying to decide if that's too much to miss. (And moving the cruise isn't an option. The Magic starts 7 night cruises after we get off)
