He auditioned for a spot in the Spirit of Atlanta drum and bugle corps and made it through the first round. Since there are not a lot of openings for new members he want to be ready for anything they throw at him in the next work camp in January. I’ll let you know if he makes it but right now I like his chances...

And what a beautiful Friday it is in my neck of the woods. A blistering 10 degrees out with a forecast of 6 more inches of snow. At least my co-workers all decided to show up for work I may actually get some downtime today!

Talked with my relations in WNY and they are getting the same. Nephews Christmas program was cancelled last night. The good news is with the extreme cold Lake Erie should freeze early this year and limit the lake effects.

Was a busy day yesterday and into this morning. I finally jut gave up around lunch time today. No matter how hard or long I work, it's just not getting done. Kind of like quicksand. Every time I finish something, 3 more things show up and I just keep sinking deeper.

If he makes the cut they’re planning a 30 city tour from mid-June through early August. Toward the end of the run they will swing through the Southeast so that will be a good time to catch a couple of the competitions. If we can scrape up the funds.

We’re expecting the same system but it will just be rain. Bitter cold rain; the kind of wet cold that forces its way into your bones and joints and just makes you feel miserable. I’d rather it got two degrees colder and actually snowed.

Nope. I'll be waiking up around 3:30 and hopefully leaving the homestead by 5. I'll probably hit some rain on the way but not for a few hours.
