There is talk of 10-20cm of snow today, but I'm not taking much stock in it. A few flakes are falling, but there is no accumulation. Told my boss who was worries about the storm killing business not to, we only get the crap storms when I work nights Going to be a long day though, not much going on at work, just routine stuff today. Great evening with the family last night. Played some cards - Gin rummy and UNO - with the family. While I still do miss those drinking party nights of old, card games, family movie night, and pizza are ok by me. Although, any Friday night would be better at WDW.

We have basketball game, and then it is Superbowl shopping day for me. Last year, I did the queso dip (velveeta and rotels) as usual. However, I tried a soft taco queso style, pouring the liquid gold over the taco. It was a big hit with the family. So, we decided to do that again this year. I think I actually heard some of my arteries close last year and I finished eating them.

That may be so but remember we are talking about Florida.

Get rid of it now. In-laws are on their way to your part of the state and I don't want to hear them complain about the cold when they picked the area. They could have gone anywhere.

If only I had that much control over it.

I thought people moved to Florida to get away from that crap.

It has got to be panic in the streets down there... if people can actually get out of their houses. I have to say that I do feel your pain. I was complaining about our -10 air temps earlier this week, but truthfully that is actually a little less annoying than a half inch layer of ice on everything.

Yeah pretty much everything shut down for 2 days while it was still "Icy". I still had to work tho.

Thanks to everyone for the prayers and well-wishes! Baby and Mommy are doing great. I'll try and post a picture here when I have access to a real computer.

He was 9 lbs., 12 oz. Mommy is going to need a lot of pampering after that.

Congratulations. My BIL had his son on the 29th too. Tell your wife it could have been worse and she could have had a 10lb 3 oz baby. However at that point... It is only a 7 oz difference. I dont envy the women.

I have the opposite problem. When I grow mine out for Movember about 3 weeks in my DD won't talk to me until I shave. She doesn't recognize me I guess.

I know exactly how you feel. My son luckly didnt mind to much when I did it plus I only get to do that when I'm on leave.

Forget what I said about the snow. It's coming down pretty good now. Had the shovel/salt the front of the store. Noticed when running out for lunch we were the only ones to even bother. Hope the girls are liking it at camp! I'm pretty sure tobogganing was on their agenda.

Turned down overtime for tonight, got Mandarin reservations. Yum yum

That too! Also making up for neither of us feeling great for DW's birthday past Sunday.

Now enjoying a food coma, got all but two of the major food groups ( no bacon or dole whip). Beef, chicken, crabs, mussels, more beef, and enough dessert to choke a horse. May need to put off marathon running for another 5-6 years.

Excellent idea. I too will put off running a marathon for 56 years in support of Team Sparrow.
