So, esteemed DISdads, am I worthy of your company?

All of that aside, if someone asked you to pull their finger....would you? If yes then......Welcome!! You will fit in just fine! :lmao:

BTW.....the whole Red Wings thing......we shall let it pass for now.....

...11 year old has cell phone...

Mine share a cell phone that they got from the grandparents. Not my idea either but they are only allowed to call me and the grandparents so not a big deal.

...for membership in the DISdads club!:scared:.....Not fishing for accolades (or sympathy), but I'm also the 53-year-old father of the aforementioned Disney Princess. Interesting, being old enough to be the father of some of the parents of my daughter's classmates....

Welcome aboard. Norm will be by to tell you about he dues (I see he did)

and Randall wil get you your your official number (as others have said).

Glad to have another "mature" dad here. I just turned 49 and my princess: is soon to be 10.

Okay, guys, Dave here. A little about me.

122. Real men don't use Mickey pancake forms. I make mine freehand! Well, okay, the first few come out a tad mutated, but eventually they resemble The Mouse. It's fun eating my mistakes!

2. DW refers to me as an adolescent at times. Does that qualify me as "just a big kid?"

I'm still trying to get up to speed on Disney culture, but as far as the in's and out's of trip planning, DW and DD know that I'm their go-to guy.

I'm a bit of a space buff, so if there's a launch at the Cape, I'll be happy to pass along any information to you...gotta do something on those non-park days!

Fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, St. Gerard Falcons, and Lansing Catholic HS Cougars. Husband of Judy, father of Megan (DD 6, almost 7, my only child and Disney Princess...guess that makes me the king!).

Welcome to the nut, I mean clubhouse!

Since the kids are older, we are going with the more expensive gift and a few smaller ones and that's it. DD is on the list for the new iPad Mini and DS want the Kindle Fire HDX. Looks like a technology filled season. Both already on order and got some decent savings by searching for discounts. We also have a ping pong table coming for the basement. Santa's list done…….Check! Just some little things to get and all done already. It's going to be a relaxing shopping season for this guy.

I just picked up 2 of these for my kids...

Nice starter android tablet, quad core, 16 gig, HD, with 5 megapixel camera, GPS, and only $129

:welcome: to the club... find a spot on the couch, grab a beer from the fridge, and jump right in.

That was a tackle from his football days...

So many players! So many of them in motion!

Grew up across the river from Windsor, watched a lot of CFL on CBC channel 9. Cool game.

Rob Ford. What a piece of work. :smokin:

The motion must be quite an adjustment for the US college players.

Not to mention the viewers! But the rules differences, field size, and 12 players certainly make for a wide open game. I'm one American fan of your game (of many, I'm sure).

Welcome! Just so you know the DIS is prett strict about graphic images, so you'll have to change that gawd awful avatar to something more suitable. Might a suggest the letters ND or IU? :lmao:

Welcome to the club! But be warned...it has been well established in my household that my daughter is the princess and my wife is the queen. Naturally that makes me....father of the princess and husband of the queen. Nothing more. Get used to it. :headache:

Freaky! I was looking at that same model for my kids.

It's amazing how the "get out monies worth" out of APs, we end up spending 3 for 4 times that amount on airfare and hotels!:rotfl2:

Not sure were I will be in my recovery, but someone can start it and if I can play along I will.
\

Ok! :thumbsup2 Recovery from what? Everything ok?

I am not a fan of the new Big East since our conference was raided and we got left behind!! :confused3

Sorry about that... :confused3

Welcome!

Good morning men :coffee:

Morning, David! :surfweb: Morning, all!

Going to brag a bit about DS#1. For context, there's a dad I know through scouting who's son was diagnosed with a fairly aggressive neck and chest sarcoma about a year ago. I've gotten to know them well in the hospital and have done 4 merit badges with him during his hospitalization. All my kids play Minecraft with him on-line (for a long time he couldn't speak because of the location of the tumor, so texting online was much easier). Anyway, yesterday was a very bad day for this boy. He was starting a very hard round of chemo that would make him pretty sick. So he was getting admitted yesterday and was pretty upset. He asked if DS#1 would mind coming to visit him. So even though it was a school night, DS#1 agreed to go. He couldn't have been more awesome. Completely unphased about the chemo starting, the IVs, monitors, etc. They just hung out and talked and played Minecraft for a couple of hours while the mom and I went for coffee and ice cream. Very proud of the young man he's becoming. And on the way home got to teach him about Catholicy things like corporeal works of mercy too (which apparently they don't teach anymore in CCD? Who knew!). Definitely count your blessings today, guys!
