Page One Updated, CJ!

Hey, CJ, remind me what the 9200 was for?

Randall, you can add our trip to the list as well when you get a chance--split stay March 1-5 POR and 5-7 Poly. I hope the family doesn't get spoiled staying at Poly. We now do POR since it's the cheapest on sight for 5 to stay. I've always wanted to stay at a monorail resort. This is a Bday trip for me (March 4) so 2 nights at Poly is my present. Not sure how much resort time we'll have though, since my boys and I are usually at RD and hop til the parks close. DW and DD6 will like want some down time - time to get spoiled.

In your apartment or on K2?

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Tree up on Sunday, huh. We usually wait until black Friday to set ours up. We usually have family over for Thanksgiving and it's nice to have the extra space while they are there. Lights on the house and the weather is supposed to be decent so we'll continue with some outside decorations this weekend.

Well, we have no Black Friday here, usually we gage it by when Toronto holds the Santa Claus Parade. Aside from a few things other then the tree, it's all we decorate with.

So…..When you climbing K2?:confused3

Dude, I can't fathom climbing up the Swiss Family Treehouse :rotfl2:

Mountaineering is one of those things that fascinates me, yet I know I am totally incapable of doing myself.:lmao:

We used to stay at the value resorts (family of 4). One year, we were upgraded to CBR. After that stay, we bought DVC and never turned back. We stayed at Bay Lake Towers, and the monorail resorts are amazing.

I might be in for that too... maybe we can park 2 trailers. One for the guys and one for the women and children. :lmao::lmao::

I guess our breakfast last week has brought us closer. that's nice.
:

I'm sleeping with my wife in my trailer. You can sleep with the guys. Just how close we're you? :lmao:

Afternoon...day off, chore of the day is to get things ready for Sunday, to put the tree up. Unfortunately, I've gotten deep into a fascinating book all about the various attempts to climb K2, much more interesting.

Very cold, still no snow though!:cool1:

You planning to climb K2? Find me a warm room to sit, drink beer, and watch you?

We put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving as well.

OK dads. Time to pick your brains. DW and I have decided that we may try a vacation in the Pigeon Forge area with her family. Never been before so I'm looking for some insights on what kind of things to do, places to eat, etc. I think we'll be renting a cabin. Probably looking at sometime in June, July or early August.

No tree here until a few days, maybe a week before Christmas, but then again ours is a real tree.

So we know you all want to be Canadian but to do so you need a Canadian name. Here is something to help you out.

Real trees in the buikding are a no-no, fire codes. It doesn't stop some from doing it anyways, but doesn't mean I should start doing it either.

Lots of new Disney Orniments to add this year too :thumbsup2 Haunted Mansion is definitely a theme this year

The big ones are Dollywood :goodvibes::goodvibes: and the Aquarium in Gatlinburg (pun intended). There is also a dinner show Dixie Stampede, Country Bear Jamboree, and another one. They have a Titanic exhibit that was newer. In Gatlinburg, which is maybe 30 miles further ?, they also have a ski lift trolley that goes up the mountains. The Aquarium is owned by Ripley, and they have a museum and other stuff. You can buy a Ripley ticket. We ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp and I got a tshirt from the Forrest Gump movie.

Dollywood is good for a theme park with some decent coasters and attractions. You can walk thru the area as well.

Other than Dollywood and the Ripley stuff, everything is a la carte. Once you start buying all those individual activities, the cost adds up.

That's a good idea. DW has been buying a Disney ornament on trips. That is her collectin. But, I can't complain since I have the pin collection.

Must be a theme, I'm Furry Moose Sausage. I like it! 1954 here, what's your year guys?

+1 with a birthday coming up when I feel like celebrating it.

I've hated birthdays since I was a kid for various reasons. I now pick a day close to to it when I am having a good day and call that my birthday.

Dang... You are older than my dad! Lmao!

Kids. Still wet behind the ears. :sad2:

The big ones are Dollywood :goodvibes::goodvibes: ....

SWMBO's brother sang at Dollywood. Somewhere we have a picture of him with her.
