Decide what you want to do because you can't do it all. There are picture opportunities, villains, trick or treating, dance parties, and rides with small lines. We do candy and rides mostly. There are two parades and Hallo wishes. Skip first parade and do second. Parade is reverse order and starts in Frontierland.

DS took an acorn to the eye yesterday and now has a scratched cornea. Thought I was going to be working from home today but he decided that he could handle the watery eye and go to school. I think he's looking for the sympathy.

Welcome new guys.

I'm not sure how much I'll be on here before the trip. In addition to working close to full time on a crazy schedule and packing for Disney DW wants the house perfect to host the kids' birthday the week after we get back.

Nemesis (and keeper of the stats): Great job as always.

I'm also planning to do a Trip Report this time. I don't have the skills to do it while I'm on the trip but will definitely do it when we get back. It will hopefully bridge the gap between the end of the October trip and the next one in November 2014.

BTW, finally finished reading Norm's Disneytopia TR. It laughed, I cried, it moved me to tears. That was the firs TR that I read start to finish.

If any of you have some TR tips, please feel free to pass them along. I'm off to print photos from the last 2 trips for my daughter's autograph book. I'm just a *wee* bit behind on that.

TR's are always a fun way to relive the trip. My only advice is if you start writing it, you darn well better finish it... Unlike some guys around here *cough*barryanddon*cough*

I would tell you just to write it that way you’d have gone about telling the story if we were just all sitting around a bonfire (after having consumed a beer or twelve of course), but very few folks read my TRs so I suspect that I’m not the best example to learn from

By the way… how are the crops doing?
we’ve not heard much on the subject lately…

Not too bad. Harvest has been slowly getting started around here for a few weeks, however, we just started on our farm yesterday. Well, really we started last Wednesday, but we just got the combine out and shelled a semi load of corn just to make sure everything was working the way it should. Yesterday was the real first day.

So far everything looks good. Corn seems to be above average. In fact, I think on some of our fields where we caught a few extra rains we could be looking at record yields on that ground. The beans have been hurt a little bit by the hot dry weather late this summer, but yields I've been hearing from some neighbors actually seem to be much better than expected as well, so hopefully that trend continues with ours.

MY oldest had hers scratched once but I don't remember how. I took her to whatever that eye dr. is and I thought he was a stoner. Then, I coached his daughter in soccer a few years later, and he was definitely a stoner. But, he did a good job with her eye.
