Hey guys. Just got off the course, definitely got my money's worth today. ;) My cost-per-stroke was very low... :rotfl2:

The old saying though, a bad day on the course is better than a good day at work... :thumbsup2

Sounds like a tough day at the office. The cost per stroke is low, but how much did you spend on golf balls.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I deny any knowledge of what happened to Greasy Thumbs Murphy.

I always dive safe. Do not want to be one of those stories everyone talks about over beers.

Sounds like a plan. Who are you going as for the party? Half of Bullseye?

I am going as the guy who sits in the dark corner and drinks all day. I've had a lot of practice and really have it down at this point. Your little jokes just show how left out you feel by not being invited.

You realize it will eventually happen and I'll show up in your driveway.

No, we have started to give up on that dream. By the time you get the trailer, CJ will be in an old age home and the house will belong to the Pirate Princess. When you show up, she'll give you 6 minutes to pack up and move out or she'll bring out the shank.

Don't know why or how your wife gets pregnant? Those are two different questions.

Lt. Frank Drebin: Congratulations, Ed! I hear Edna's pregnant again.

Ed Hocken: Yeah, and when I find the guy that did it...

Beverly day just gets more and more Beverly

Despite the fact that I have a full and well maintained beer section in the store, especially compared to what it USED to look like, bigger boss only nitpicks and complains about it, no a peep about the improvements. Quite insulted and my boss knows it, she might have gone into damage control mode we will see when I come off break.

The "why" part is defnitely a mystery.

You sit in the corner and drink? I prefer sitting on the couch or recliner, but whatever works for you. I'm starting to give up on that dream as well. I guess I'll just have to go with that 9 more years of fake working/ retirement/ move to Florida plan.

For got about that one. :lmao:

Is it space inventory or book-cooking thing?

When I worked in the bakery around inventory time, our manager would have us go low on ordering and high on products. Thus, I would mix up several 10 gallon buckets of cake icing, which she would inventory at the retail/ purchase price (because so many people walk in off the street to purchase 10 gallons of cake icing). But, it counted in the "sale" area as opposed to the cost area.

Hey everyone....

The kid is awake, drank a little chocolate milk, and ate a small bowl of Cheerios. DW called out of work and we are gonna lay low today. Thank you again for all your prayers. he is doing better but not 100%. We are guessing it was like a 24 hour bug or something- without the puking. :confused3

Feel free to carry on the bacon, dole-whip, and Canadian talk. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Good to hear. Fortunately, the kiddos bounce back MUCH quicker than we do!

Well... that's a little harsh... :duck:
The only Pirate I have ever felt that way about was Barry Bonds. Yes, I hated him when he was with the Pirates and some things never change. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:
We felt like that about him when he was in Pittsburgh! Jagr, too. Those were 2 high profile athletes that were not well-liked Pittsburgh ahtletes.

I don't know why there's so much hate for Chapman. The man doesn't even speak English, but he is young and cocky and knows he has good stuff and is proud of it. I guess I just haven't seen anything from him that I would think would make him that hated by other teams' fans? :confused3
There have been multiple Reds "pitching incidents" against the Pirates. 2 of them involving McCutchen. Another player and it might fly under the radar, but not the team's star player.
I really like Joey. The man is a true professional. He plays hard, performs and pretty much just keeps his mouth shut and goes about his business. He could be a more vocal leader, but I like the fact that he's just strictly business... as far as personalities go though, I'm surprised you didn't have anything to say about Phillips! :lmao::rotfl2:

I really can't say anything bad about the Pirates... I like what they've done there the past few years. There really isn't anybody on that team that I don't like. I just hope they lose the play in wild card game because they're playing my team.:thumbsup2
I definitely respect Votto. And I pride myself on being an objective fan. So I can hate a team, but respect a player. For example, the Ravens Terrell Suggs. The only Pirate that can get under people's skin is AJ Burnett. But it's mostly b\c he's just an emotional leader. There was an instance last year after a very critical K (think it was Hanley Ramirez), you could visibly see him say, "Sit the f*** down!" and then in a game this year, he was getting into some trouble early and our bullpen got active, he yelled at them to sit down. He then proceeded to pitch out of the inning and ended up going 7 innings with 1 run.
But I'm on the fence with Votto. Maybe b\c he talks so much at 1B and you can't tell if he's being congenial or a Dbag:rotfl2:

Yea, I should keep the blog up, the kids grow up so quick and I forget so much, it'd be nice to document somewhere.

We actually owe Disney a bit to our adoption choice. We went to WDW for our honeymoon in 2000 and saw a little Chinese girl walking around the bus, with a bunch of non-chinese people. We didn't think much of it really, and she was chattering away, and asked my wife if she was a mommy. Then she pointed out her mommy to us, obviously a forever family. We thought it was cute, but then when we got off the bus and walked up to the park, there was apparently a big Chinese Adoption group meeting, and there were 50+ kids, mostly dressed as Mulan, all gathered at the park entrance. It really struck a cord with us, and when we got back home I started researching, and saving funds to get ready. We weren't old enough to go through the Chinese program(21 at the time), but we knew it cost a fortune to do, so we started saving and getting things lined up.

Really weird thing was when we picked an agency, I told them the WDW story and the lady was like "Oh, yea! October 2000, that was our agency celebrating our 10 year anniversary!" pixiedust:

Awesome story... :thumbsup2

What is this snow stuff?

You know how every winter the traffic in your neck of the woods gets really bad, and these short old wrinkly people with jewish canadian accents are driving really slow in front of you when you are trying to get to work...

It's is the reason they are there. ;)

We just got home and I got Christopher to bed. To make a long story short, they took the X-rays and they didn't show anything except for stool and gas. They watched him for a few more hours with no other symptoms . They were going to draw labs on him but I kinda talked them out of it. I'm going to watch him like a hawk and call the pediatrician tomorrow to follow up. It was a long night and I think it's time for me to go pass out. Who knows what the rest of the night has in store for me. I'll try to update at some point tomorrow. Thanks every one for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Tim,
Glad everything's alright. Gas huh. . .sounds like a DisDad in training to me.

:thumbsup2

Money cutting decision executed. The cable is gone. I will miss ESPN, but will enjoy the extra money. We also did Netflix, so we at least have some old shows to watch.

Finish putting in the new floor (dining room done, hall to do)
Clean house for next weekend
Finish planning next weekend's 25th anniversary party
Mow the lawn
Close the pool (late, late, late)

I just finished doing a new floor too. Had Physical Therapy on my shoulder today because of it. Got me some degenerative old age-ritis apparently.

WE're not closing our pool this year. Live oaks hanging over the pool be Beverely'd, we're letting the pool guy clean the leaves every other weekend. We want it open and pretty when the house goes on the market in February.

After reading all this adoption and getting pregnant talk. . .I think I now understand what happened.

I guess that's why my wife has been throwing up daily for the last month or so.

Doctor said it's natural.

Oh, yeah, we're having another kid. My guys still work.

I did it again. . .

I went to the TPA&S board again.

Why do I do it?

:confused3

Someone smack me next time I go over there.

Just did it again.

And in case anyone is curious. Magpie is my nemesis. Magpie and my mother-in-law.

Hmm... I have a beer in my hand right now. If I drain a few more I might just have to head over...

Early evening tonight for me. We're in middle of soybean harvest on the farm and so far the results have been great. A very much needed bit of relief after last year. I was able to head home early this evening so I'm having a few celebratory drinks and watching my Redlegs try to lose to the Pirates while the kids are sleeping and DW is working concessions at a high school soccer game... Yes the school our kids will go to is so small that they don't have football. We might have to move for that reason alone.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good Friday evening and a great weekend. We'll be in the fields again tomorrow so I might be posting some pictures at some point.

Saw an interesting item for sale. A bacon scented air freshener. Upside, it smells like bacon and only costs 2.99. Downside, tastes like cardboard if you lose control. Available at Thinkgeek.com

Dude...I can't even imagine...
