I live within spittin' distance of the border, so we're all aboot taunting the neighbors as if we are imitation frenchmen on a castle wall.

It's just a 1 game playoff for that real wild card spot. Not a big fan of this joke of 2 wild cards. I'd rather just see the 3 game series in Cincinnati become a 4 game series and keep it at home. :thumbsup2

I'd rather face the Cards. But it is what it is. As long as Aroldis Chapman takes a line drive in the chest from Andrew McCutchen, I'll consider the series a success.:rotfl2:

I was a fan of Chris Sabo and Sean Casey and of course almost everyone liked Junior. But it's hard for me to stomach Chapman and I either love or hate Votto..I'm not sure which!

I won't even bother lying to you and say they are in the mail. It wasn't the best I have ever had, but it was edible.

Edible is better than not edible. I've made my own gravy before. I've started it bacon grease. Having that sausage in it gives it more flavor. Otherwise, you have to use a lot of salt and pepper for seasoning.

I grew up in Louisville. We had the Redbirds, and I don't remember if they were affiliated with Reds or Cardinals back then. However, still no MLB team, but since we were closer to Cincinnati, I was more a reds fan. And, we got NL central teams on the tv. Now, Owensboro is about halfway between the Cardinals and Reds. Still, no MLB team without a 3.5 hour drive (one way).

Well, since you asked....tomorrow morning I'm running the Brewers 10k followed by a couple of free beers. I think I'll get ice cream on the way home, just because I can. DS has a soccer game in the afternoon. Sunday we're meeting Sean (DisDadIL) and his daughter at a local pumpkin farm where a local adoption/foster care advocacy group is having a family fun day. Heading back to my place afterwards to carve the pumpkins. Still haven't decided if I should carve it with a knife or a dangerous amount of high explosives.
Woot! I'll bring the dynamite

Hey everyone....

The kid is awake, drank a little chocolate milk, and ate a small bowl of Cheerios. DW called out of work and we are gonna lay low today. Thank you again for all your prayers. he is doing better but not 100%. We are guessing it was like a 24 hour bug or something- without the puking. :confused3

Glad he's doing better today.:thumbsup2

There are several of us here that either have adopted or are in the process. Our daughter was placed with us as a foster child and we adopted her. Sean's daughter is adopted. DisneyFerris has two adopted daughters. Steve (GoHeard1028) adopted both of his kids. David (theduck619) is in the process of adopting 4 siblings from Poland. I know there are more, but those are the only ones that come to mind immediately.

There are also those of us who support adoption and feel strongly about the subject, but whose wives seem to get pregnant every time the subject comes up in our own home. :scared1:

If Canadian bacon is just ham, what's a Canadian Dole Whip? Yellow snow? :confused3

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

‘Morning all…
Dealing with house inspectors and “nervous nelly” buyers is mightily stressful.
It may be early in the day yet, but I need a drink.

Not a good time for the ol' "fake termite" gag, then?

Are they still playing baseball?:confused3

Do you know what's causing it?

I'm sure once we figure it out, it'll never happen again. :headache:

No, I'm pretty sure it's just you.

That's ok Mark, my mind goes blank when the pretty lady with little to no clothes on gives me that look too. :scared1:

My Saturday just got a whole lot busier. My dad got offered a pair of tickets to the ND-OK game and he gave them to me. I'm not a fan of either team but I have a good friend who go his grad degree from OK. This friend happens to be the guy I'm running a 10k with in downtown Chicago in the morning. So it's up early to run an 8:00 am race and then time to get cleaned up and head to South Bend for a 2:30 CST start. Wish me luck.

Finally Friday! Working from home today too! Unfortunately this usually results in me having to do actual work work. :surfweb: :badpc:

What are everyones plans for the weekend?

Well, only because you asked....

I will be in Key Largo with a few good friends until Monday morning. One couple I haven't seen in about five years. We had a mutual good friend pass away around then and the wife did not want to visit KL because of the memories. She finally decided to come down and we had a great time by the pool last night laughing and telling stories. Moral of the story is life is short so you need to grab as many laughs as you can get.

They went out diving this afternoon and I stayed beached. Will be on the boat tomorrow but not sure if I will be going under the sea. Minor stamina issues. Either way there will be more laughs and stories. Sunday will be by the pool... I know tough life.

DEFINITELY EXPLOSIVES! You had to ask?

Feel free to carry on the bacon, dole-whip, and Canadian talk. :thumbsup2

Glad he is doing better. Give Mel a hug from us.

If Canadian bacon is just ham, what's a Canadian Dole Whip? Yellow snow? :confused3

What is this snow stuff?

The better news is that this time next Friday, I'll be loading up the vehicle to leave for WDW.

That's why I said - the life of CJ. :lmao: Did you dive? Any good pictures.

Now I am jealous. No diving no pictures. Maybe tomorrow.

Already a Beverly kind of day. On top of that, I can't get out of work to see Amelia off to Guides Camp this weekend, will have to settle for a phone call I guess.

That sucks. Sorry to hear it.

Still, no MLB team without a 3.5 hour drive (one way).

Well, if you can persuade your wife to bring the trailer, the Marlins are a short metro rail and bus drive away from the campground. You are guaranteed to see one Major League team. They will be in the visitors dugout.

I heard someone is having triplets.

I'm sure once we figure it out, it'll never happen again. :headache:

Can you say snip, snip?

Hey guys. Just got off the course, definitely got my money's worth today. ;) My cost-per-stroke was very low... :rotfl2:

The old saying though, a bad day on the course is better than a good day at work... :thumbsup2

Cement shoes and little shove sounds more likely.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well it would be difficult to communicate with you on the bottom of the ocean, so be safe and remember to let go of the weight when you are finished.:thumbsup2

I deny any knowledge of what happened to Greasy Thumbs Murphy.

I always dive safe. Do not want to be one of those stories everyone talks about over beers.

Well, we have field hockey in the morning for DD, apple picking early afternoon and then late afternoon and evening hoop tourney's for both. On Sunday, back to field hockey in the morning and then my nephew is turning 9 so a cowboys and indians party in the afternoon. DD is going as Jessie, DS13 says dressing up like a cowboy is stupid so will be going as himself.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

The countries "oldest running fair", the Topsfield Fair opens next week. My wallet is already crying.:scared:

Sounds like a plan. Who are you going as for the party? Half of Bullseye?

Good luck on the race. Nice reward.

That is also part of my belief system.

Well... that's a little harsh... :duck:

The only Pirate I have ever felt that way about was Barry Bonds. Yes, I hated him when he was with the Pirates and some things never change. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I was a fan of Chris Sabo and Sean Casey and of course almost everyone liked Junior. But it's hard for me to stomach Chapman and I either love or hate Votto..I'm not sure which!
I don't know why there's so much hate for Chapman. The man doesn't even speak English, but he is young and cocky and knows he has good stuff and is proud of it. I guess I just haven't seen anything from him that I would think would make him that hated by other teams' fans? :confused3

I really like Joey. The man is a true professional. He plays hard, performs and pretty much just keeps his mouth shut and goes about his business. He could be a more vocal leader, but I like the fact that he's just strictly business... as far as personalities go though, I'm surprised you didn't have anything to say about Phillips! :lmao::rotfl2:

I really can't say anything bad about the Pirates... I like what they've done there the past few years. There really isn't anybody on that team that I don't like. I just hope they lose the play in wild card game because they're playing my team.:thumbsup2

Now if only you had booked us a race for this weekend we could have golfed 18 today and ran 6 tomorrow !!!

Don't know why or how your wife gets pregnant? Those are two different questions.

Now I am jealous. No diving no pictures. Maybe tomorrow.

?

You realize it will eventually happen and I'll show up in your driveway.
