Now you guys are making me scared.
It used to make up the World's Largest Six Pack:

That was in La Crosse, Wisconsin. However, Heilieman's shut down that brewery about 10 years ago. A bunch of the brewery workers got together and bought it, launching La Crosse Lager, which is now what the Six Pack is painted as.

But let me guess… in this case BIGGER isn't better? :confused3

Morning fellas. Prayers to those in need of them. Took a look at the ticker on my phone and it says 50 days til DDC2!! With the holidays coming full steam ahead this is going to be here in not time. I'm going to try to get a post going so we can get a head count on everyone who is going to be there.

All the old computer talk has me cracking up. Anyone remember this?

Must of been a rough night. Larry's score is 0. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ok, instead of starting a new thread I'll just ask for anyone attending DDC2 to check out the original roll call thread over in the Pub. If you don't have access to the member only section you can send me a PM to be added.

Larry is looking a little rough there. I do remember playing that game when it first came out. Not sure I was supposed to be playing, but it was a lot if fun.

Dad indeed has pneumonia, good news is it didn't interfere with coffee time :rotfl2: He's there now, will get his antibiotics on the way home. Thanks guys!

Unfortunately after the extraction team is finished, you will only have empty bottle to return to the warehouse. Hope it gets better.

Well the point was to be rid of them. I get first dibs on the Unibroue 17 and trappist beers though. :rolleyes1

Although Dollars to Donuts they are panicking and doing something today. :sad2:

We've been home from Disney for 2 weeks and Christopher is just starting to get back to his normal routine. When we got home he fought us about sleeping in his bed. (he was still in his crib) I put him down for a nap and the little stinker climbed out. So I ended up taking the front of the crib off to turn it into a daybed and put a bed rail on it. He has stopped taking naps and has been fighting us every night at bed time. For a week straight he has been waking up numerous times at night screaming bloody murder. The last 3 nights he still fought a bit about going to bed but has slept through the night.

He keeps telling me to go drive with him to the 'red room'- his talk for hotel room. He misses Disney and I don't blame him.

He'll adapt, the girls took forever to, Audrey in particular.

Amelia called our room at the POP "new home" in '06

‘Morning all…
Finally, finally, finally, the painting is done!

Not too many better feelings than that. :woohoo:

Sorry… can’t second that one.
That’s more of as aspiration then a potential law. :rotfl:
At least in my house, it’s the opposite of what happens. My first job is to ensure that everyone else get the “good stuff” (whatever that might be at the time). I always make do with whatever is left over. That’s just what you do. Every once in a while DW will even ask me: “so when do you get what you want?” The truth to that is once you become a husband and certainly after becoming a father…
you don’t.

And I’m good with that.

::yes:: Truth. In our home, this law is boiled down to "Dad always drives the crappy car."

You ain’t old (not even close)… you’re just now a dad.
Quite the responsibility and everyone here understands exactly what you’re talking about.
:thumbsup2

Sounds like you're raising that boy right!

Never played it much but I recognized it right away.

Smart boy. When are you moving?

It just keeps getting worse. I just turned 32 and still play basketball twice each week all winter, but when I was 26, I tore my Achilles. If I had a nickel for every person who told me I was too old to play basketball... including my surgeon. It's like, come on, I'm only 26. :confused3 :guilty: :sad2:

And to let you know how extremely high quality it is, it is also the beer that one of my favorite bars in college served, 32 ounces for a dime after a $5 cover.

If I never taste it again, it will be too soon. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I didn't realize you were that young. Or, i'm just that old. Once you're drunk enough, it finally tastes good.

Glad your dad is getting meds. Wish I could get some of that beer now.

Move to KY. I still have dial-up. My school offered their first computer class spring semester of my senior year and it used cassette tapes.

MOst of them don't understand Eastern KY. I don't want to go as far as third world, but there are still many places without plumbing, utilities, etc. Not to mention driving around the mountain.

Pups…
Try life where internet does not exist, telephones are rotary (one per house as well) and “party lines” are common, Cable-TV does not exist (and most sets are refrigerator sized and still black & white), tape is reel-to-reel and computers take up whole buildings, are only in the possession of the largest governments and companies and are so expensive that the hardware is not owned but rather leased from the likes of IBM, Burroughs or NCR.
.

And, walking uphill both ways in the snow.

That bad huh?

Ummmmm… Could be. :rotfl2:

I certainly recognize it. There were only a couple of folks in our I/T dept. that had PCs back then (the rest of us still used dumb terminals connected directly to the mainframe, and almost no one had a desk-top at home then), but those fell’as liked to guide ‘ol Larry through an evening’s frivolity on a fairly regular bases; never got into it myself as I missed the gaming generation by a couple of years.

Sorry to hear but then again it’s good that apparently it’s not that severe a case.
May he heal up quickly.

Goes without sayin’.
We’re about to start the process of acquiring a new “used” vehicle; which we will then give to my son. Why? Because he needs to be mobile and DW doesn’t want him making three and four hour drives between school and home (or anywhere else for that matter) in a substandard car. If her’s breaks down, I can always come to her rescue. If mine squats, I can walk home. :lmao:

Basically, “Dad” gets the crappy everything...
(but I do believe that there is an now exception to this rule for Maui Onion chips)

But at least it has a catalytic converter! :thumbsup2

Seems about right.

And is everything OK? You've been around quite a bit the past couple of days. :lmao::rotfl2:

Off line for a couple of days and will try to catch up later.

At the Doctor's office today to get a retake on my blood work. The Hemoglobin numbers are low (12) and they want to recheck it. Doubt it is going to get any better but whatever. Took them 3 times to hit a vein. Really enjoyed that. Tomorrow I start major dental work that, before it is all over, is going to take a chunk out of next year. That is going to be a ton of fun.

All is not lost however. In the mail today was this…

Thought it was early for our Magic Bands and it was, inside was…

Basically a flash drive with the Edna tutorial that is available on the web. The cool thing about it is that it automatically opened my browser and the My Disney Experience page for the trip. If I had questions, I could refer to Edna. There was also a semi-personalized booklet with info on our trip, the Boardwalk including resort dining options, magic bands, fastpass+ and general Disney info. Pretty cool.

Is that all you ask?

WELL, NO!

Went to AAA on the way to the doctor. Found that Disney and AAA are not running any exciting ticket media specials right now. I did take a brochure to look at while waiting for the vampire. I found I could…

Get a Florida Resident Seasonal Pass, Weekdays only, at All Four Parks with Hopper for $201.99 (209.00 Disney price). Massive blackout dates though; all of summer, spring break, Christmas etc.

To many blackout days you ask?

WELL, NO!

Next year's vacations will be almost exclusively at WDW. So far, I have trips in January, June and October. AND ALL OF THOSE FALL ON NON BLACKOUT DATES! So I can have tickets for a maximum of 15 days and the kid for around 12 for $200 or about $13 a day. Plus, the first two weeks of December are not blacked out. It is going to be awful hard not to add a week in December, so the daily price could be even lower. Potentially, four weeks with Room and Ticket Media for $400.

So, I don't get to go to the parks on weekends. No big deal, there are many trips with little park touring. An added bonus is I will be able to do a few meet-ups in the park for Marathon Weekend.

Feeling pretty good right now despite the bruising on my arm from the blood letting and dull the ache in my tooth.

Without shoes…

:rotfl:
Ha! I was lucky - I had shoes. Of course, it was really just about 3 feet of rusty barbed wire that we wrapped around our feet...and I had to share them with my brothers...but we had shoes, dang it!

Boy, you're just a bucket of happiness today aren't you. What's on tap for this evening, a visit from an IRS auditor?

Well, that will certainly turn things around!

I got the same package yesterday. Seems like Bambi and the kids took foreeeevvvvver getting home so I could pop the flash drive in and what was on it. Plus, I have a nice little 6 GB Mickey head flash drive.
Is that all you ask?
I wasn't aware that I was asking, but OK.
