Oh, and clearly this place has gone to hell in a handcart in my absence (Sorry I missed the signup deadlines for DDCC 3 in 2015). Putting on my scoutmaster hat to help get things back on track. :thumbsup2

Well obviously I too missed the signups for DDCC 3 in 2015. I knew about the 2014 and can't attend since I will be arriving just a a week later. Hard to believe that folks are already talking about 2015 and 2014 hasn't even happened yet.

What, who? We signed up for 2015? I guess I need to get onto the Facebook group. Although I'm not on FB very often.:headache:

Sorry, guys. That was a joke. There haven't been signups yet. But you get my point!

Careful. You wouldn't like Randall when he's angry.

:stir:

This morning I met with someone from SH for breakfast. Gave me all sorts of Pirate paraphernalia. You may not have a choice.

Eh, we could use some good kindling. Especially come tournament time!

Hey, Randall! How about a special "Let's Close this Thread in 24 hours" Thanksgiving Day thread?

Yes, I knew it was a joke. Just adding a little fuel to that fire. Aren't the powers that be still trying to decide if it is in January again or some time mid year where those that cannot go in January may have a shot?

I'm still trying to coordinate the schedule for DDC2. It will have to be a last minute decision from what I see. Will try to book a room as soon as I can confirm I can go. If not, we have friends about 20 minutes away and I can stay there.

Seton Hall should suck less than they did last year but I would be surprised if they rise above middle of the pack. When I lived in NY, i went to a few tournament games. Fun atmosphere. It will be interesting to see how it works for the new Big East.

Just stop will you. We all know that you will not be showing up and blame things like work or family, Blah, Blah… If you were a man, you would go in and say, "Honey/Boss (make sure you get the right salutation for the right person) I am going to Disney to see a bunch of guys." Butch up!

Just posted on the Nemesis Thread there are 6 openings for dinner at Il Mullino. Go, eat, drink. The first beverage, or more likely the first two, are on me.

That is the only pennant the Phats will get this year. And only because the rest of the East sucks.

Hey! The Bills resemble that remark.

The Big East without Syracuse is pointless.

Went to the Big East tournament at MSG more times than I can remember in college and post-college years. I went to Georgetown, my brother went to Syracuse, my sister went to Providence and father went to Villanova. And started dating my now wife after a chance reconnection at a Big East game, so needless to say I'm a Big East fan. But I share your apprehensions about the new Big East. Looking forward to seeing basketball again!

As a basketball fan, I miss the old Big East rivalries!

Spent my youth growing up in Syracuse and will miss the old rivalries of the original Big East. I still am hopeful that this will be a reasonably strong Basketball conference. Yes, in this last round, you lost U. Conn. (who really got screwed), Louisville (who was a member for what, a week) and Syracuse but Butler, Creighton and Xavier have a history of good basketball.

Once the final realignment happened the "Catholic Seven" would be in a conference with the likes of UCF, S. Florida, Tulane, E. Carolina, Houston… nothing resembling the Big East. Can't blame them for leaving and I think it will work out in the long run. Different, but potentially good. At least with the new TV deal, I will get to see more Big East games down here.

As a UConn employee, I can't tell you how happy I am that UConn got screwed! :cool1:

Bet that lead to some interesting family discussions. :lmao:

Hey, Randall! How about a special "Let's Close this Thread in 24 hours" Thanksgiving Day thread?

Not sure were I will be in my recovery, but someone can start it and if I can play along I will.

I am not a fan of the new Big East since our conference was raided and we got left behind!! :confused3

So, our Mayor(not mine I live outside of Toronto) is on CNN tonight with Anderson Cooper. I'm sure he is going to make all of this craziness much better! :scared:

.

But, UL did win the basketball Championship & Orange Bowl as Big East team. What was that team they defeated in Sugar Bowl?

I must be out of the loop, recovery from what? Awesomeness?? There is no cure for that big fella!

Hip surgery I think. Or brain replacement with penguin experiment.

He's making the US political system look good. That's scary.

Glad you made it over, Chris.

Since the kids are older, we are going with the more expensive gift and a few smaller ones and that's it. DD is on the list for the new iPad Mini and DS want the Kindle Fire HDX. Looks like a technology filled season. Both already on order and got some decent savings by searching for discounts. We also have a ping pong table coming for the basement. Santa's list done…….Check! Just some little things to get and all done already. It's going to be a relaxing shopping season for this guy.
!

Mine both have Kindle Fires. 11 year old has cell phone. Neither were my idea.

Okay, guys, Dave here. A little about me.

122. Real men don't use Mickey pancake forms. I make mine freehand! Well, okay, the first few come out a tad mutated, but eventually they resemble The Mouse. It's fun eating my mistakes!

2. DW refers to me as an adolescent at times. Does that qualify me as "just a big kid?"

I'm still trying to get up to speed on Disney culture, but as far as the in's and out's of trip planning, DW and DD know that I'm their go-to guy.

I'm a bit of a space buff, so if there's a launch at the Cape, I'll be happy to pass along any information to you...gotta do something on those non-park days!

Fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, St. Gerard Falcons, and Lansing Catholic HS Cougars. Husband of Judy, father of Megan (DD 6, almost 7, my only child and Disney Princess...guess that makes me the king!).

Not fishing for accolades (or sympathy), but I'm also the 53-year-old father of the aforementioned Disney Princess. Interesting, being old enough to be the father of some of the parents of my daughter's classmates.

So, esteemed DISdads, am I worthy of your company?

Welcome. Dues are payable in dole whips, beer, bacon, or cake. You mail them all to me, and then I distribute to everyone else. I won't hold the Michigan thing against you, and our Chief Bacon Officer will be around to give you a member # soon enough. It looks like you have a trip scheduled in a couple weeks. Got room for me? :lmao:
