Well, a lot of interesting Disney news out of the FreezinRafiki household.

After much budgeting negotiations, we decided on what tickets to get for our upcoming January vacation. We had planned on 3 day base tickets, but decided to do Annual Passes instead. Why?

Well, because Disney Cruise Line changed their policy of using on-board booking discounts. Previously, you could schedule any future cruise, then reschedule, then reschedule again and the discount always came along. Now, you have to use your discount within 18 months (24 months for those with existing discounts, such as yours truly.) So we looked and we hemmed and we hawed, but then decided on a 3 night repositioning cruise on the newly refurbished Disney Magic from San Juan, PR to Port Canaveral in October. And since we're getting off the boat in Florida anyway, we might as well spend a few days in WDW before heading home, right?:thumbsup2

It took several calls and a lot of hours to get our APs linked to My Disney Experience, but I was finally able to make our FP+ reservations for January s well. I love it when a plan comes together.

Too bad you weren't going a few weeks earlier on the Fantasy... :rolleyes1

Well done with linking those tix Frozen Monkey!!

::yes:: :thumbsup2

That wouldn't be so bad. After all, there's no Dole Whip machine on the Fantasy, so I wouldn't have to buy you one.

For the last few years, the kids have had off of school on a Thursday and Friday at the end of October. We're gambling that those days fall in this trip next year.

Nice work. :thumbsup2 Do we have a DISDad Law that says when visiting Florida, a WDW visit is mandatory? (Exception for CJ, of course--that could get expensive)

And if not, why not?:confused3

Just because I'm not posting, doesn't mean I not watching!

The video is pretty cool.
That is awesome... I wish I was there with you guys.

Well, we are staying a few days after our cruise. We were thinking of the Poly but it is so damn expensive. That is where all this DVC talk came from. Why spend $2000+ on the Poly when we could put that towards our DVC purchase.

Sept. 18-21 2014 Fantasy... just sayin' pirate:

I now know why I will never buy another PC again. Last night (OK, early morning) the iPhoto app would crash when I tried to import photos. Took it to the Apple store and was given an appointment to see a Genius. Came back 45 minutes later, checked in, was called within 30 seconds and it was fixed within 10 minutes. Plus Zero dollars left my wallet. Good start to my day.

Randall hasn't been posting much… maybe he was there. :confused3

Makes sense and it wouldn't surprise me.

I think he is having surgery here sometime soon isn't he?

thurs the 21st

Didn't know about the surgery Randall. Let us know if Tim caused the injury, I know a guy. Good luck man, and remember after it is done you will be the bionic Penguin Master.

A hard day of work playing candy crush. I did manage to send a few emails. Never received the phone call I was waiting for. So, I went home and am drinking a beer. Have a great weekend everyone.

I'm playing the guessing game with my school as well. If they change the dates, I might just take my dds out of school and let them have two weeks off.

Maybe. What if you did a Disney cruise and went to Sea World? Do other DisDads who live in Florida get the exception of just CJ?

:

Those were my thoughts. I dug through my files, found the statement, and posted the dues breakdown over on the DisDad DVC thread.

.

I'm thinking the same way. I really like the iPad. It is way better than the kindle (Android). My 8 year old Dell PC is not doing so well. Printer died last week. Not in the budget right now.

The stellar Kentucky education system at work. .

Im glad you cleared that up for me.....:lmao:

Sadly, you two were the only ones that picked up on that. Our educational system may be spreading.

My FIL had the hip replacement surgery in June or July this year and went back to work last month. He seems to be doing well with it. The only thing he complain about is not being able to put his cowboy boots on the way he used to.

Guys weekend has begun. DW is away on a girls shopping trip and DS and I are hanging out. Taking in some high school basketball tonight.

Hello I am joining in. Hope every one enjoys their weekend.

Welcome to the club!

Randall will be around with the official welcome and Norm will talk to you about the dues. In the meantime tell us a little about yourself.

I'm a SSgt in the USAF(bet you would have never guessed). My first name is Alex. My wife is Amazingact21 I know of at least 1 dis dad who reads her stuff. I'm not nearly the writer that she is so I don't expect to write any trip reports... Just heckle on her reports. I have a 7 month old son. Most of my family does not get my addiction to disney. Luckily I married my wife of 2 years who happens to be as addicted as I am...... And I have 16 days till I am back in the world and it cannot get here fast enough.

Hello I am joining in. Hope every one enjoys their weekend.

Welcome. Dues are payable in dole whips, beer, bacon, or cake. You mail them all to me and I distribute to everyone. Tell us about yourself - trips planned, # children, where you stay, etc. Or, just post whatever. We've been off topic for 6 years now.

Welcome aboard! I see Norm told you about the dues, but you better put a tracking number on the bacon. I've yet to see anything make it from his mailbox to mine though it could still be on the mule. :hourglass
